Didactic units of theory classes:
1. Microbial diseases of the skin and eyes.
2. Microbial diseases of the nervous system.
3. Microbial diseases of the circulatory and lymphatic systems.
4. Microbial diseases of the respiratory system.
5. Microbial diseases of the digestive system.
6. Microbial diseases of the urinary and reproductive systems.
Practical classes:
- Identification of microorganisms using phenotypic methods.
- Identification of microorganisms using biochemical methods.
- Identification of microorganisms using immunological methods.
- Identification of microorganisms using genetic methods.
The master classes explain to the students the contents of the subject and guide them in the bibliography (recommended basic) required to improve their knowledge. The practical classes are held in the Microbiology laboratory to carry out appropriate practical activities.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The
evaluation is based on:
- Exam of theoretical and practical concepts: 75%. All the
competencies mentioned in methodologies will be evaluated.
- Attendance at all practical sessions and theoretical
classes (80%): 10%.
- Active participation in the laboratory the classroom, and
delivery of the
practical report: 10%. To do this, the
skills detailed in the corresponding section will be evaluated.
Transversal and specific competencies will be evaluated.
- Completion of works, cases or practical exercises: 5%. It
is based on the teacher's observation and transversal skills will
be evaluated.

Development of 40 sessions of participatory master classes, conducted in classroom or by videoconference if conditions require it.

Development of 10 practical sessions, of two hours duration each, applying rotation in small groups of 50% if conditions require it. In this case, retransmission of practical classes will be done to the rest of the group (if possible) or complete the training with asynchronous training activities.

2. EVALUATION SYSTEM
A continuous assessment will be carried out throughout the course through the delivery of activities, both theoretical and practical, by the students through the Virtual Teaching Platform of the University of Jaen, which will represent 50% of the final grade. There will also be a synchronous final test of theoretical and practical concepts, on the date established by the Faculty of Health Sciences for each of the official calls, which will represent 50% of the final grade.
3. RESOURCES
The informatic resources provided by the University of Jaen will be used (Virtual Teaching Platform, Videoconference through Google Meet, other applications in the Google environment: Docs, Slides, Calendar, Drive) in order to encourage student participation, as well as resources of electronic bibliographies available in the library of the University of Jaen.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.
Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.
Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
