3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The contents of this subject are divided into a theoretical block and a practical block.

Theoretical block:

  • Topic 1. Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of the CNS, PNS and ANS.
  • Topic 2. Main peripheral neuropathies. Classification of peripheral nerve injuries.
  • Topic 3. Physiotherapeutic approach to stroke and acquired brain damage.
  • Topic 4. Physiotherapeutic approach to acquired spinal cord injury.
  • Topic 5. Physiotherapeutic approach to multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
  • Topic 6. Physiotherapeutic approach to neurodegenerative diseases: Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
  • Topic 7. Physiotherapeutic approach to cranial nerve neuropathies.
  • Topic 8. New technologies in motor, sensory and functional rehabilitation. Virtual reality and mixed reality.

Practical block:

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To pass the subject, attendance at all practical classes-seminars (practical module) is mandatory.

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Final face-to-face or synchronous online test (according to the recommendation of the health authorities) through the PLATEA Platform or the Google Forms application, depending on availability (with the possibility of recording it through Google Meet), on the date established by the Faculty of Sciences of Health for each of the official calls, which will account for 50% of the final mark.

The acquisition of practical knowledge will also be evaluated, which will account for 50% of the final grade, through oral-practical tests, and/or through the delivery of written or audiovisual work through the means available at the University of Jaén. .

III.- RESOURCES

The computer resources provided by the University of Jaén (Virtual Teaching Platform, Videoconference through Google Meet, other applications from the Google environment: Docs, Slides, Calendar, Drive, Forms) will be used in order to encourage the participation of students. students, as well as electronic bibliographic resources available in the library of the University of Jaén.
