45 hours will be dedicated to giving expository classes in the classroom.Aspects of CB1 competencies will be developedand CBB1 and the learning outcomes resul-01, resul-02, resul-03, resul-04, resul-05 and resul-08.
In the large group expository classes the theoretical aspects of the subject will be developed, examples will be givenpractical and exercises will be solved.15 hours will be dedicated to doing computer practices in the computer room with the Mathematica program.
As much as possible, at the end of the term, one or two seminars will be held in English, preferably by Visiting Professors. These seminars will cover aspects of the theory and will emphasize practical applications currently used in industry and research, which may be of interest to students.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The evaluation will consist of a final exam with a weight of 70%, a grade for class exercises and assignments (10%), and a grade associated with a computer practice exam (20%). Additionally, a continuous evaluation methodology may be offered at the beginning of the course. With this system, the competencies CBB1 and CB1 achieved by the students concerning the learning outcomes resul-01, resul-02, resul-03, resul-04, resul-05, and resul-08 will be evaluated. A positive evaluation will mean that the students have sufficiently achieved all the learning outcomes.
Students are reminded that, according to Article 18 of the Academic Regulations and Student Assessment of the University of Jaén, "an exam session will be considered exhausted when the evaluation tests in which the student has participated account for more than 30% of the final grade of the subject."
Educación de calidad |
Ensure inclusive, equitable, quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Promote the development of analytical and critical skills by teaching to reason, to understand basic concepts of the subject, to relate these concepts, to apply the calculation tools that this subject offers, and to interpret mathematical information in a non-mathematical context.
Provide open educational resources in mathematics that are available to all students, by making available videos prepared by the subject's teachers, which promote access to quality education.
In the case of not having the possibility of giving the regular courses face-to-face, the theory classes will be recorded and transmited online.
In addition to that, exercises and activities will be proposed in order to allow the student to have some autonomy in the learning process. Different sorts of material will be uploaded to facilitate keeping up with the cours.
In the case of having to do remote classes, this will be achieved by using Google's Meet tool.
Additionally, videos, exercises and other activities will be uploaded to make it easier for the students to follow the cours.
