4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

DETAILED INFORMATION:

  • Lectures, exposition of theory and general examples and conferences.
  • Small group teaching: seminars, debates, practical activities and clarification of doubts.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The grading system will be governed by the provisions of Royal Decree 1125/2003 of 5 September, which establishes the European credit system and the grading system for official university degrees.
DETAILED INFORMATION:
Theoretical-practical written exam at the end of the term, which will be worth 50% of the final mark.
Practical work with a weight of 30% of the final mark.
Work on a topic of the subject and presentation of the same in class which will have a value of 10% of the total of the subject.
Attendance at theory and practical classes and at the work presentation sessions 10%.
In general terms, the first and second aspects of the evaluation system (S1, S2) will be used to assess the student's progress in the following competences
competences CB6, CG2MMKTR, CT5, E08MMKTR, E09MMKTR and learning outcomes RB6, RE08MM, RE09MM, RT5 and RG2mMKTR.

Through the third aspect of the assessment system (S3) the student's progress in the competences CB6, CG2MMKTR, CT5, E08MMKTR, E09MMKTR and in the learning outcomes RB6, RE08MM, RE09MM, RT5 and RG2mMKTR will be assessed.

The fourth aspect of the assessment system (S4) will assess the student's progress in the competences CB6, CG2MMKTR, CT5, E08MMKTR, E09MMKTR and in the learning outcomes RB6, RE08MM, RE09MM, RT5 and RG2mMKTR.

CT5: The capacity for reasoning and critical analysis shown by students in the different tests/exercises/assignments or even in their own participation in class will be assessed within each of the assessment systems presented in the subject.

DETAILED INFORMATION

SDG-04. To plan, develop and assess the subject in such a way that students receive the highest possible quality education.
SDG-05. Encourage the participation, work and involvement of students to achieve gender equality in the electrical engineering profession.
SDG-07. Due to the subject matter of the course, it is essential to seek to achieve affordable energy that pollutes as little as possible in order to achieve an increasingly sustainable planet.
SDG-09. The electrical machinery sector is constantly evolving from the point of view of industry, innovation and infrastructure to develop more efficient and intelligent machines.
SDG-11. Electric power is increasingly being used in cities and communities, so that this increasingly clean energy can be used to make them more sustainable from an energy point of view.
SDG-15. If we can make electric machines work efficiently, we will have an energy-efficient environment with less and less visual and intrusive impact on terrestrial ecosystems and the planet's environment will be better maintained.

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

According to the determination of the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Jaén for the subject of Modelling and Control of Electrical Machines, the theoretical classes in large group (A1) will be face-to-face 100% in the classroom and assigned timetable. As for the small group classes (A2 - practical), according to the guidelines of the Centre, they will be non-rotational face-to-face classes at 100% in the laboratory and assigned timetable.

9. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES
The theoretical classes in large groups (A1) will be online via videoconference during the assigned timetable. As for the
small group classes (A2 - practical), they will be held online using videos on the practices complemented
with directed activities for each of the practices in the assigned timetable.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
