Practical Lecture 1: Metrology
The aims are: First, to get the student used to a metrology laboratory work environment. Second, that the student gets the know-how about metrological devices handling; specifically, linear measurement devices with direct readings (Vernier caliper and micrometer), deviation-type instrument (dial indicator) and metric gauge block set.
Practical Lecture 2: Machining
The aims are: First, to get the student used to the most common machines inside a machining workshop (parallel lathe, milling machine and drill) and the last generation machining centers (five axes). Second, to identify the main working movements these machines, the most usual cutting-tools for these machining processes (materials and shapes), as well as the most usual accessory equipment. Third, to visualize the main machining operations that can be done with the machining machines.
Practical Lecture 3: CNC simulation.
The aims are: First of all, get the student used to CNC programming language (ISO programming). Secondly, the student must learn the basic functions, to be able to program the machining code of an easy part. And finally, the student can preview the CNC machining process using simulation software such as: CNC Simulator Pro, WinUnisoft, or similar.
Practical Lecture 4: Polymers forming and shaping
The aim is get the student used to the main procedures about polymers shaping, itemizing concretely performing the processes for thermoplastics more applied in the industrial landscape.
Practical Lecture 5: Welding
The aims are: First, get the student used to the main welding processes and equipment, that are used in the industrial background. Second, several demonstrations will be done about oxyfuel-gas welding, shielded metal-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding (MIG-MAG), and gas tungsten-arc welding (TIG)
Practical Case Study: Manufacturing viability analysis.
Web application CustomPartNet will be used by the student to analyse the manufacturing viability and cost of a product making. The idea is to compere different manufacturing processes for several size production batches, so the student can learn to choose the optimal way to make the product in each case.
A1- Theoretical Lectures (Classes in big group)
They will consist of master classes where the oral presentation will be carried out with the help of audiovisual media of the theoretical contents of the subject. The concepts necessary to understand the different manufacturing systems and processes will be explained. During the presentation of the topics, real cases will be presented where the concepts presented can be appreciated (photos and videos of the different manufacturing processes explained, applications, examples of good and bad practice, parts with manufacturing defects, computer simulations, etc. ), encouraging the student's participation and critical spirit.

A2R- Classes in small group
They will consist of carrying out workshop practices, whose objective will be to familiarize the student with some of the main manufacturing processes exposed in the theoretical classes (machinery, operations, tooling, main applications, etc.).

A3- Group/Individual Tutoring
Personalized attention to students to resolve problems and clarify doubts. A consultation and information forum will be opened in Platea so that students can consult the resolution of doubts raised by other classmates. For example, work will be done at the request of the student/s: the use of the software CustonPartNet, CNC Simulator Pro, examples of solved exam questions, etc.

Attendance and participation (10%)
An attendance signature sheet will be approved and participation will be evaluated after the exercises are delivered.

Exam: theoretical and practical concepts about the subject (60%)
It will be a necessary condition to pass the subject to obtain a score equal to or greater than 5 points in the final exam (valued out of a maximum of 10 points).

Course exercises, student works and presentations (10%)
Delivery by the student through Platea of the exercises or practical cases proposed during theory classes or collective tutorials.

Prácticas de Laboratorio y Taller (20%)
Attendance at the proposed Practices. The evaluation of the knowledge and skills acquired during them will be carried out by delivering a summary report of the practice, delivering a proposed work or taking a test.
It will be a necessary condition to pass the subject to have attended all of the subject's practices.

Theoretical and practical classes will be held online synchronously by videoconference through the Google Meet platform.
The delivery of the practical reports and the resolution of the proposed practical cases will be carried out through the subject space on the Virtual Teaching platform.
The evaluation exams will be carried out synchronously through the Google Meet platform and the Virtual Teaching platform. The review of the exams will be carried out by videoconference with the Google Meet platform, individually and by appointment.
The tutorials will be carried out online synchronously by videoconference through the Google Meet platform, and asynchronously through the subject forum in Virtual Teaching and email.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
