3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The course content is aligned with SDGs 4 and 5.

I. Foundation of the Teaching-Learning Process:

  • The didactic vision of the teaching-learning process: analysis of the didactic act from its various confirming components: teaching,

The Curriculum and its contribution to the study of the Teaching-Learning process: conceptual approach, curriculum conceptions, theories, and paradigms.

II. Planning of the Teaching-Learning Processes:

  • Development of plans and projects: conceptualization and characteristics, planning and design models, curricular concretization and contextualization.
  • Elements of didactic and curricular programming: target audience, objectives, content, methodological strategies, media, and resources.
  • The context and cultural reality in the development of the teaching-learning processes.

III. Evaluation of the Teaching-Learning Processes:

  • Principles of evaluation: conceptualization and dimensions.
  • Planning the evaluation of the teaching-learning process: criteria, instruments, and evaluation techniques.

1.- Foundation of the Teaching-Learning Process. Analysis of the didactic act. Teaching-learning. Instruction-formation. Core and contextual didactic variables. Theories and paradigms.

2.- Planning of the Teaching-Learning Processes. Development of plans and projects. Elements of didactic programming. The context and cultural reality in the development of the teaching-learning processes.

3.- Didactic Methodology. General classification of teaching methods. The method in terms of its concretization. Methods in terms of the systematization of the subject matter. Methods in terms of student activities. Methods in terms of the globalization of knowledge. Methodological principles, methods, and didactic strategies. Didactic strategies. Teaching methods.

4.- Didactic Media and Resources. The importance of media in the didactic act. The environment as a didactic resource. Image and sound as didactic resources. ICT and teaching.

5.- Evaluation of the Teaching-Learning Processes. Sense and nature of evaluation. Types of evaluation. Evaluation techniques and instruments.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The methodological strategies will depend on the various contents presented in the program, the available resources, and the participative attitude of the students.

  • Strategies will be used to enhance the integration of information, the transfer of learning, independent work, and lectures.
  • A combination of work in flexible groupings and individual work will be utilized.
  • Alternation of inductive and deductive strategies (readings, case studies, report preparation). In this regard, lectures will be combined as an introductory strategy for the topics with autonomous work and tutoring so that the teacher gains a broad understanding of the students.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To pass the course, students must obtain at least 50% in theory and 50% in practice. Attendance will be monitored exclusively in practical classes, and it is mandatory.

The grades for practicals, assignments, and other activities, as well as for attendance and participation, will be valid for the different convocations of the current academic year; these grades will not carry over to the following year.

The grading system will be governed by the provisions of RD 1125/2003 of September 5, which establishes the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and the grading system for official university degrees.

The content and competencies of this course incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the UN in the 2030 Agenda.

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Teaching Methodology and Educational Activities:

  • Large group lectures. Up to 50% in-person. Development of 45 participatory lecture sessions, each lasting one hour, conducted via videoconference.
  • Practical group classes. Up to 50% in-person. Development of 15 practical sessions, each lasting one hour, conducted in the classroom and broadcast via videoconference to the rest of the group if technical means allow. Periodic rotation of students.

Evaluation:

In the multimodal scenario, the same evaluation criteria established in the in-person system are maintained. Both in the regular and extraordinary convocations, the following evaluation system will be carried out:

  • Attendance and participation: 10% of the final grade. Evaluated through observation and student participation in class activities. Attendance will be monitored exclusively in practical classes, and it is mandatory.
  • Conceptual knowledge of the subject: 60% of the final grade. Evaluated through the completion of a non-presential synchronous objective test.
  • Completion of practical activities: 30% of the final grade. Evaluated through the presentation of student assignments. If the student does not pass this part, they must take the practical exam of the subject through a non-presential synchronous development test. To pass the course, students must obtain at least 50% in each of the considered aspects.

Resources:

Various teaching support resources will be used, such as the virtual platform and other institutional resources for synchronous activities, and email, forums, and tutoring (individual and group) for asynchronous activities. In the mixed scenario, when applicable, the teaching staff involved in delivering the course reserves the right to not consent to the recording, publication, broadcasting, or reproduction of their speech, image, voice, and lecture explanations, in the exercise of their teaching functions, within the scope of the University of Jaén.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
