3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Developed contents

Current educational regulations for Primary/Preschool Education (from the national Organic Law and Royal Decree to the Andalusian Decree and Order). Approach to the Andalusian Order for the Andalusian Teacher Competitive Examinations.

Didactic programming in school PE: basic curricular elements and complementary elements.

Elaboration of didactic units/learning situations and sessions.

Resources and didactic materials in school PE.

Innovative methodologies, projects of educational innovation, interdisciplinary, multicultural and coeducational projects from school PE.

Practical application and educational research. Presentations and defences of didactic proposals.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The methodology aims to be active, participatory, global and interdisciplinary, and to encourage the involvement of students in their own learning process.

The course combines the exposition of the theoretical contents of the programme and the intervention of the students, both individually and in groups, through different practices previously introduced by the teacher.

The variety and diversity of the contents of the subject requires a varied and flexible group organisation.

1. Theoretical sessions: these will take place in large groups and will be mainly lectures by the teacher, sometimes with the help of audiovisual and computer media. The subject of resources and teaching materials will be taught transversally throughout the course.
2. Practical sessions: these will be reserved for group practices in the sports hall, in which the teacher will give advice and a final dialogue and discussion on the contents developed in the session. At the end of the course, a didactic proposal will be presented, based on everything learnt and exposed during the course.
3. Specialised, individual and group tutorials, designed for a more exhaustive monitoring of each student. They will provide the necessary material for the practical work, will reflect on the contents and will supervise the tasks.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In order to pass the course, students must obtain a score equal to or higher than 5 points in the subject.

In the attendance and participation section, which accounts for 20% of the mark for the course, it is distributed as follows: Theoretical/practical attendance* (10%) + Anecdotal record of classes, both theoretical and practical (10%). The latter may include reflections, news, photos, diagrams, interesting phrases, key ideas, links, etc., that have emerged during the session or that we think may enrich it (only the days attended will be recorded). Originality will be valued (maximum length of 2 pages per session). Attachments may be freely added at the end of the document, numbering and quoting them correctly where appropriate).

*Regarding attendance, it will be compulsory to attend at least 80% of the practical sessions. In theory, there will not be a compulsory minimum, but the total attendance will score the same in practice and theory.

In the theoretical concepts section of the subject (50% of the total mark), the level of knowledge will be assessed through a final individual work (40% of the total mark) + a theoretical/practical exam (10% of the total mark). The elaboration/defence of the individual work will consist of a Didactic Programme + 1 Integrated Didactic Unit/Learning Situation + at least 4 developed sessions of the same. It will be necessary to pass the score of at least 5 points in each of these theoretical tests (individual work and exam), in order to add the scores corresponding to attendance/participation and practical group work.

Practical group work: 30% (Group work, preparation of 1 practical session framed within a specific Didactic Unit/Learning Situation, with special emphasis on methodology. The presentation must be carried out).

In official examinations in which students do not carry out continuous assessment, they may opt for a single test on the theoretical and practical content of the subject.

The grade achieved will only be valid for the current academic year, and grades will not be maintained from one academic year to the next.

Students will learn to appropriately use scientific literature related to physical activity, health and wellbeing, and to develop didactic interventions based on scientific-practical and legislative evidence, for healthy Physical Education. Topics such as injury prevention, healthy habits of hygiene, sleep, nutrition, active behaviours, reduction of sedentary lifestyles, or the implementation of programmes adapted to different needs will be addressed. In addition, the importance of social and mental health will be emphasised, as well as its relationship with physical activity, providing students with tools to design comprehensive teaching strategies.

They will discuss curriculum design, evaluation and implementation of educational programmes that integrate physical activity as a central component. In addition, educational policies and their impact on the quality of teaching and learning in diverse contexts will be examined.
