Theoretical contents:

Didactic unit I: Exploration and physiotherapeutic assessment in adult patients with pathology of the Central and Peripheral Nervous System.

Unit II: Physiotherapy treatment in the different pathologies of the Central and Peripheral Nervous System in adults

Topic III: Specific maneuvers of neurological physiotherapy in patients with different pathologies of the Central Nervous System.

Unit IV: New technologies applied to the neurorehabilitation of the adult patient. Virtual reality based therapy.

Practical contents:

Throughout 10 practices the following practical contents will be developed:

-Normal movement and balance and equilibrium reactions.

-Physiotherapy treatment in the hemiplegic patient. Upper and lower limb.

-New technologies in motor, sensory and balance neurorehabilitation of pathologies of the central and peripheral nervous system. Virtual reality based therapy

-Physiotherapy treatment in patients with spinal cord injury.

-Neurodynamic techniques in pathology of the peripheral nervous system of the lower and upper limb.

-Evaluation and treatment of neuropathies of the cranial nerves. facial paralysis and dysphagia

Theoretical activity: Lectures for the general group.

Theoretical-practical activity: Theoretical-practical laboratory classes for small groups

To pass the subject, attendance at all practical classes-seminars is mandatory.

To pass the subject it is mandatory to have passed the two main sections of the subject: the theoretical part and the practical part.

II.- EVALUATION SYSTEM

Final face-to-face or synchronous online test (according to the recommendation of the health authorities) through the PLATEA Platform or the Google Forms application, depending on availability (with the possibility of recording it through Google Meet), on the date established by the Faculty of Sciences of Health for each of the official calls, which will account for 50% of the final mark.

The acquisition of practical knowledge will also be evaluated, which will account for 50% of the final grade, through oral-practical tests, and/or through the delivery of written or audiovisual work through the means available at the University of Jaén. .

III.- RESOURCES

The computer resources provided by the University of Jaén (Virtual Teaching Platform, Videoconference through Google Meet, other applications from the Google environment: Docs, Slides, Calendar, Drive, Forms) will be used in order to encourage the participation of students. students, as well as electronic bibliographic resources available in the library of the University of Jaén.
