5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The grading system will be governed by the provisions of RD 1125/2003 of September 5, 2003, which establishes the European credit system and the grading system for official university degrees.

The selection of the evaluation methods will be carried out taking as a criterion the relevant elements for the realization of the corresponding competences, contents - achievements associated with them, and taking into account the criteria for the realization of the competences of Annex 3 of the document of Criteria for the design of study plans of degrees of Degree in Social Work approved by the Conference of Directors of Centers and Departments of Social Work on December 14, 2007.

The evaluation system is continuous, which implies class attendance and internships. The evaluation will combine several methods:

- Written test of content: written exam in which the study, understanding and application of the theoretical knowledge acquired in the subject, problem solving, short answer tests, reports and class diaries, portfolios, etc. will be evaluated. It is necessary to pass it in order to add the rest of the practice and class participation grades. Up to 6 points.

- Individual/group practicals: Individual and group work done in class under the supervision of the teacher on one of the practicals topics of the course. Attendance is compulsory. It is not valid for any other type of work. Up to 3.5 points.

- Active participation of the students: both in the theoretical and practical classes on the contents of the syllabus, as well as in the different spaces of participation that are activated in the dynamics of the class. Up to 0.5 points.

The final grade of the student will be the sum of the grades obtained in the exam, practices and participation, being essential to pass the exam to add the rest of the grades.

The evaluation of the course is global (from the sum of the different activities contemplated: exam, practices and participation) and continuous (the practices are progressive and it is necessary to attend to carry them out weekly). If the student does not participate continuously in the work, he/she will be automatically withdrawn from the group of practicals, which will be evaluated through the exam.

The qualification of the practices and the participation will only be valid for the ordinary and extraordinary call of the course in force. It is necessary to pass the exam to add the grade of the work and participation).

These criteria will be explained directly by the teachers at the beginning of the course.

Students who have not taken the continuous evaluation refer to those students who exceptionally have not followed the usual rhythm. In this case, the student must contact the teachers of this subject. The theoretical and practical contents will be evaluated by means of an exam.

Any type of plagiarism or copying will be considered sufficient reason for the student to fail the course in the current exam. Likewise, more than three spelling mistakes in the papers or the exam will result in a failure in the current exam. The use of non-sexist and inclusive language is mandatory.

In the extraordinary call, the same procedure as for the ordinary call is maintained.
