4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The theory activities are organized in master classes for the large group, in sessions of one hour class (in two hours per week) during the teaching period (28 hours total).

The practical training will be developed in sessions of two hours per week during the teaching period and coordinated with the theoretical classes (28 hours). Work groups may be formed for the development of practical cases.

In addition, 4 hours of collective tutorials are planned at the end of each thematic block.

 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

S 1.- Attendance and participation.

To pass the subject it will be necessary to attend at least 75% of the total hours lectured, both theoretical and practical.

The Virtual Teaching platform will be used for the delivery of the proposed exercises, having to obtain an overall score of 5 out of 10.

The weighting of this section on the final qualification of the subject is 10%.

S2.- Concepts of the subject.

There will be a theoretical-practical test, consisting of a test of at least 20 questions and at least one practical exercise related to the contents lectured in the practical sessions.

In order to pass this test it is necessary to obtain, independently in each part (theory and practice), an overall score of 5 out of 10.

The weighting of this test on the final qualification of the subject is 75%.

S3.- Performance of work or cases.

A practical case will be proposed to be solved individually, where the knowledge acquired in the subject will be applied.

Its completion is mandatory to pass the subject.

A qualification of 5 out of 10 will be required to pass this section.

The weighting of this test on the final qualification of the subject is 15%.

The final qualification of the subjct will be the weighted sum of those obtained in each of the sections (S1, S2 and S3), provided that the requirements indicated in each of them are met.

(*) The University Center may establish rotating attendance depending on the number of students and classroom/laboratory capacity (class at the time and classroom/laboratory assigned to part of the group and retransmission by videoconference to the rest, with periodic rotation of students, as determined by the Universitary Center). 

In the multimodal and/or non in person settings, when appropriate, the teaching staff involved reserves the right not to give consent for the capture,  publication, retransmission or reproduction of their speech, image, voice and lecture explanations, in the exercise of their teaching functions, within the scope of the University of Jaén.

 

2) EVALUATION SYSTEM

The evaluation system for the 100% in person format is described in sections 12, 13 and 14 (Evaluation system) of this teaching guide.

 

3) RESOURCES

Classes will be taught using the resources of the University's Virtual Teaching platform and those included in Google Suite.

Free software will be used in the practices, with temporary license or through the Virtual PCs of the UJA.

The exam, a multiple-choice test, will be administered online through the Virtual Teaching platform.

In order to pass this test it is necessary to obtain, independently in each part (theory and practice), a score of 5 out of 10.

The weighting of this test on the final grade of the course is 40%.

S3. Completion of assignments or projects.

A practical case will be proposed to be solved individually, where the knowledge acquired in the course will be applied.

Its completion is mandatory to pass the subject.

A score of 5 out of 10 will be required to pass this section.

The weighting of this test on the final grade of the course is 50%.

The final score of the subject will be the weighted sum of the scores obtained in each of the sections (S1, S2 and S3), provided that the requirements indicated in each of them are satified.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
