4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The training activities are classified into two main teaching approaches: A1) Lectures in large groups, these have a theoretical-practical nature and favour the transfer of knowledge to the students and both synchronous and asynchronous learning. A2) Activities on the virtual platform, which complement the training acquired in the lectures. Training videos are included in each subject to promote teaching using the inverted classroom. The virtual platform also includes activities that favour learning based on project work or case studies, as well as learning based on problem-solving skills. In addition, as supervision and guidance activities for students, the following training activities will be carried out synchronously: 1) Online tutoring sessions, 2) Discussion forums and online collaborative activities and 3) Optional face-to-face sessions.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

A daily control of student attendance will be carried out by means of a signed register. With regard to participation and understanding of the subject, both individual and group contributions will be taken into account, taking into account cooperative learning strategies, participation, class activities and skills expected of the student in study activities.

There will be a final exam of the subject which will assess the learning acquired by the students. The annual calendar will include an exclusive date for the development of the student assessment test, both in its ordinary and extraordinary call. The assessment test/exam may be substituted by the teaching staff for another assessment activity/activities such as assignments or oral presentations. In the latter case, the proposed work/activities will have a weight of 75% of the total mark for the subject.

The initiative and innovative contributions, the quality of the work in terms of content and form, and presentation will be taken into account. The ability to present and defend work in public (with special attention to the use of new technologies) and the bibliography used will also be assessed.
