3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Physical Education in the Early Childhood Education curriculum. Elements developed in the school curriculum for the acquisition of motor skills.

Motor development of Early Childhood Education students: perceptual-motor abilities, motor skills, and coordination abilities.

Acquisition and development of body language: body expression, gesture, rhythm, and movement.

Use of motor play in Early Childhood Education: analysis, selection, variation, design, and planning of play in the Early Childhood Education classroom.

Design of playful project: space and materials as methodological resources, active methodologies, evaluation, and Integrated Didactic Unit in Physical Education in Early Childhood Education.

Development of the Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
  • Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  • Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
  • Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
  • Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The content of this subject will be developed through explanatory lectures, along with group dynamics that promote the learning of explained content and acquisition of skills.

Likewise, practical sessions will be carried out to experience the teaching-learning process, with the aim of generating strategies for future professional development (mandatory to attend at least 80% of them).

In addition, individual and collective tutorials will be provided to guide students towards autonomous, innovative, and creative work.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

S1 Active participation in class, individually or in groups, through observation and evaluation of classwork. It will account for 20% of the final grade.

S2 Mastery of the subject matter, assessed through continuous or comprehensive knowledge evaluation (which may include exams or partial tests). It will account for 40% of the final grade. Obtaining a minimum grade of 5 out of 10 is required to be evaluated in the subject.

S3 Mastery of operational concepts of the subject through individual or group theoretical-practical assignments (according to the requirements set by the professor). It will account for 40% of the final grade. Obtaining a minimum grade of 5 out of 10 is required to be evaluated in the subject.

From the regular examination period to the extraordinary examination period, the following scenarios may apply:

  1. Maintaining evaluation based on the percentages (in blocks S1, S2, S3).
  2. The theoretical-practical exam will comprise 100% of the subject's grade.

When the extraordinary examination period concludes, the following academic year, the subject starts anew.

Attendance to practical sessions throughout the semester is mandatory, with a minimum attendance requirement of 80%.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
