THEORETICAL SUBJECTS:
Subject 1: Introduction and History of Osteopathy. Subject 2: Effects of Manual Therapy on the tissues. Subject 3: Diagnosis in manual therapy. Subject 4: Joint restriction disorders. Myths and realities. Subject 5: Cervical discogenic syndrome and Cervical radiculopathy. Subject 6: Cervical facet joint syndrome and nonspecific neck pain. Subject 7: Thoracic outlet syndrome. Subject 8: Thoracic spine pathology. Subject 9: Lumbo-pelvic spine Pathology: Non-specific low back pain. Subject 10: Visceral manual therapy. Subject 11: Diagnosis and treatment of the most common pathologies of the upper limbs. New approaches to upper limb neurodynamics. Subject 12: Diagnosis and treatment of the most common pathologies of the lower extremities. New approaches to lower limb neurodynamics.
PRACTICAL SUBJECTS:
Practice 1: Introduction to high speed joint mobilizations. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ)
Practice 2: Manual therapy in upper limbs. Diagnosis and Evaluation.
Practice 3: Manual therapy in upper limbs. Treatment.
Practice 4: Manual therapy in the cranial sphere.
Practice 5: Manual therapy in the cervical spine.
Practice 6: Manual therapy in the dorsal spine.
Practice 7: Manual therapy in the lumbar spine. Diagnosis and Evaluation.
Practice 8: Manual therapy in the lumbar spine. Treatment.
Practice 9: Manual therapy in lower limbs. Diagnosis and Evaluation.
Practice 10: Manual therapy in lower limbs. Treatment.
A1. Master classes. The theoretical concepts of the subject will be provided at the Master classes, and the student will be helped to integrate them by applying them on clinical cases.
A2. Practical classes. In the laboratories, the student will learn diagnosis and treatment through manual therapy techniques.
A3. Tutorials for solving doubts or problems.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
S1. Continuous evaluation through online systems.
S2. Multi-answer theoretical exam with four options in which only one of the answers is valid. The duration of the test in minutes will be equal to the number of questions.
S4. Theoretical-practical exam; the student must perform a series of techniques and maneuvers on a patient. The positioning of the patient, proper positioning, placement of the hands on the patient and direction-intensity-frequency of the movements applied on the patient's body will be evaluated. When a clinical case is presented, the student's clinical reasoning will be evaluated. The lack of two or more practices in an unjustified way will lead to the direct failure of this part of the subject. The qualification system will be governed by the provisions of RD 1125/2003 of September 5, which establishes the European credit system and the qualification system in official university degrees.
To pass the subject it is necessary to have approved the theoretical part and the practical part independently.

synchronous final test through the UJA Virtual Teaching Platform or
Google Forms (with the possibility of recording it through Google
Meet), on the date established by the Faculty of Health Sciences
for each of the official calls, which will mean 50% of the final
grade.
The acquisition of practical knowledge will also be
evaluated, which will mean 50% of the final grade, through
oral-practical tests, and/or through the delivery of written or
audiovisual works through the means available at the University of
Jaén.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.
Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.
Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
