4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

1) Expositure lectures in a large group

Expository classes (master class in Spanish supported by powerpoint presentations, videos and examples of real situations

2) Classes in practical groups

Analysis and discussion of case studies 

Written reports

Visit to Martos Valeo to know the aspects related to supply logistics in this plant.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

  • Attendance and participation (10%). Active participation in spanish class, in the debates and during the visit to the the company will be evaluated.
  • Case studies and company visit report (30%). It will be evaluated the precison and concreteness at the moment of the questions formulated in the proposed cases and the quality of the summary on the key aspects related to the company visit.
  • Theoretical exam (60%). The exam will consist of 10 multiple-choice questions in Spanish that will account for 60% of the examn grade and 5 short questions (to choose 4 questions) that will account for 40% of the exam.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Methodology

In the event that the capacity of the classroom assigned to teach the master's degree does not allow guaranteeing the safety distance, the classes, both lectures and group practices, will be taught in rotational classroom mode with two subgroups at 50%, for which the class list will be divided into two with the same number of students in alphabetical order. Attendance will be on alternate days for each group, with live broadcasting for the subgroup that is not attending.

In this scenario, the visit to Valeo would be replaced by a lecture on the implementation of lean in the automotive sector, with special reference to Valeo's warehouse management.

Evaluation System

Although the same evaluation instruments will be used as in the face-to-face mode, the weights given to the different instruments will be modified. These instruments will be:

Attendance and participation (5%).
Class attendance in this scenario is still compulsory. The student must attend at least 80% of the sessions. Likewise, active participation in class and in the debates will be valued.

Completion of cases and written assignments will have a weight of 45%.
The exam will have a weight of 50%. The exam will be taken online. Students must connect to the google meet platform on the scheduled date and time and have the video activated during the exam.

Timing

In this scenario, the number of classroom hours is reduced by 50% compared to the normal situation.

 

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

Methodology

In this case, all the teaching will be given by videoconferente in a synchronous way through the google meet tool.

Evaluation System

Although the same evaluation instruments will be used as in the face-to-face modality, the weights given to the different instruments will be modified. These weights coincide with those of the multimodal or mixed scenario:

Attendance and participation (5%).

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
