4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theory lectures in a large group will be a set of introductory activities, master lectures and presentation of the theoretical contents, including examples that will allow the acquisition of knowledge. The student will be able to follow the exposition of the topics through the material previously made available to them. They will be focused on promoting quality teaching, prioritizing activities that promote inclusive and equitable learning (SDG-4).

Laboratory activities will be based on the knowledge acquired in the theory lectures. Collaborative work will be encouraged, along with an adequate communication of the obtained results.

Work in a collaborative environment will be encouraged, as well as mixing with the communication of results, with special emphasis on the need for ongoing training in activities related to electronics throughout their professional life independently.

Finally, collective tutorials will be used to resolve questions.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

GLOBAL EVALUATION

S1. Participation

Active participation of the student during the lectures will be assessed.

S2. Theoretical knowledege

Theoretical knowledge and its application in solving problems will be evaluated through a written exam on the officially established date. It will be necessary to obtain a grade equal to or greater than 5 points to make the weighted average.

S3. Delivery of exercises – Solved problems

Acquisition of skills throughout the course will be assessed through continuous assessment tests and/or exercises.

S4. Practical laboratory exercises

Students' ability to design and develop digital electronic circuits will be assessed by completing weekly practices. The weekly practices will be evaluated week by week. It will be necessary to obtain a grade equal to or greater than 5 points in the average of the weekly practices to make the weighted average of the global grade.

In the extraordinary call, the grade of S4 will correspond to the result of the evaluation through a practical exam, as long as S2 has been passed. It will be necessary to obtain a grade equal to or greater than 5 points in S2 and S4 to carry out the weighted average.

SINGLE TEST

In compliance with article 13 of the Regulations for the Academic Regime and Assessment of Students of the University of Jaén, any student who justifiably (according to the assumptions contained in the aforementioned article) cannot participate in the regulated and complementary face-to-face activities proposed in subject, can ask the teaching staff to change the evaluation procedure to a 'single test'.

This request, together with the corresponding justification, must be made at least one week before the start of the examination period.

There will be an exam that will evaluate S2 and another that will evaluate S4, the final grade being that obtained after weighing 50% the result of the evaluation of both exams; to pass the subject, a grade equal to or greater than 5 points must be obtained in both items.

___

With this system, competencies C10 and C9 will be evaluated. The positive evaluation of the student will imply that he has achieved the learning results Resul-02, Resul-21 and Resul-25.
