5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

A) Attendance and active participation in class. Participation in debates. Participation in group work: attendance and participation in the different classes and activities will be controlled, valuing the attitude and interest shown by the student. Class attendance is not compulsory, although the lower or higher degree of attendance will be reflected in the grade of this section, which will be used to evaluate the acquisition of the following competences: CG2, CG6.

B) Examination of the theoretical contents of the subject.
If the minimum value of 4 is not reached in the theoretical exam, the score obtained in the evaluation corresponding to the attendance/participation and the realization of work, will not count in the final grade of the subject. If this minimum value is not exceeded, the final grade of the course will coincide with the grade of the theoretical exam. With this aspect the acquisition of the following competences will be evaluated: CC11, CG2, CG3, CG6.

C) Group work: the content, coherence and quality of the work will be evaluated. Expository clarity. Material used for the presentation. Adequacy to the established time. Correctness in the expression of bibliographical sources. Ability to synthesize. Critical and argumentative capacity. With this aspect the acquisition of the following competences will be evaluated: CC11, CG2, CG3, CG6.

The grade obtained in the work will be kept for those students who have to retake the course. It will not be kept for a second academic year.

The spelling correction in the written tests will be valued. Spelling mistakes committed may reduce the corresponding score.

The alternative evaluation system may be requested by the student only in exceptional cases under the terms established in the REGULATIONS OF THE COURSE. contemplated in the REGULATIONS OF ACADEMIC RULES AND STUDENT EVALUATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF JAÉN, approved by the Governing Council no. 33, 21/11/2013. It will consist of a written (70%) and the exposition of a practical case (realization of an environmental impact study related to an activity especially interesting for the student) previous delivery of a report of the same (30%).

In the development of the course "Good academic practices" will be required as provided for in the current Regulations of Academic Regime and Evaluation of the students of the UJA.

Regardless of the evaluation procedure chosen by the student in the development of this subject the learning outcomes R-01 to R-09 will be achieved.
