4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Among the proposed teaching methodologies, three main types will be used for the development of the Industrial Installations subject, these are: Theoretical classes, practical classes complemented with group work, and tutorials, although the possibility of using the seminar-workshop methodology for some of the more practical sessions related to the fourth block.

To develop the theoretical classes of the subject, it is proposed to use expository classes in large groups as an organizational modality and as teaching methods: Lectures, case studies and problem solving. The following section details, for each theory topic, the teaching methods that will be used.

A1 - Expository classes in a large group

M2 - Exhibition of theory and general examples: The classes will be developed through the use of blackboard and slide projector, where the basic theoretical contents of the subject will be exposed, related to the fundamentals of the design and calculation of industrial facilities. The theoretical contents will be complemented by the resolution in class of application problems of the previously explained concepts, detailing the analytical procedure, and emphasizing the need for rigor in the calculation.

In the large group lectures (lectures) the theoretical foundations of the subject will be presented, encouraging active participation through the creation of debate environments within the class, as well as the cooperative work of the students, as a result of the study of real cases and resolution of exercises. With these activities it is expected to achieve the CG02, CG12 CT02, CT05 CE17, CE18 and CE20, CB10R competencies indicated in this project, as well as achieving the expected result. Results to be evaluated: 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 13.5

Detailed information on the review of skills and methodology, according to the latest results Audit of the Degree and application of Teaching Innovation according to the Teaching Innovation Project (PIMED34_202123) PROJECT BASED EDUCATION (EBP/PBL) PROJECT BASED LEARNING APPLIED TO INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS WITH METHODOLOGY BIM (BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING) WITHIN THE MASTER OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING UJAEN.

In each case, each type of installation will be explained, followed by a study of the system components to finish with the design and 3D BIM modeling of the installations and the realization of a practical example.

A2 - Classes in practice groups

M5MR - Practical Activities: A project-based education methodology is proposed here, so that students, in small groups, will have to design a complete industrial plant, together with the subjects "Industrial Structures and Constructions", "Integrated Systems of production" and "Direction and management of projects" focusing in this subject on the part of the necessary industrial constructions. Here, the student must solve, under the supervision of the teacher, and after introducing the needs and available tools, the problem raised. It is intended that the student become familiar with the use of regulations and cutting-edge practical tools such as OpenBIM software.

M9MR - Computer Classrooms: To complement the small group classes, practical activities are planned in the computer room (calculation of industrial facilities with commercial programs) and visits to different industrial plants in our province. Specifically, 12 visits to 12 industrial establishments have been scheduled, among which there are metalworking, food, plastics, warehouse or logistics, paper, automobile, metal structure and machinery and/or installation industries.

With these activities it is expected to achieve the CE18, CE17, CG02, CT05, CB10R, CG12, CT02, CE20 competencies. Results to be evaluated: 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 13.5

During the course there will be collective/individual tutorials and supervision of directed works. During the hours allocated to tutorials, the evolution of the final internship project will be supervised, with a closer attention to the student that allows him to resolve doubts and advance in the work.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The student's evaluation will be carried out by means of a final exam or the continuous evaluation of the work throughout the course, as follows:

The student will be evaluated based on the following criteria and weights.

1. Attendance and / or participation in face-to-face and / or virtual activities. Active participation in class. (5%). (Aspect S1: Active participation in class. Teacher's notes, Competences to evaluate: CE18, CE17, CG02, CT05, CB10R, CG12, CT02, CE20. Results to evaluate: 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 13.5.).

2. Carrying out work and practical cases by type of PRACTICAL Installations delivered and evaluated through BIM SERVER EDUCATION (25%) (Aspect S2: Mastery of the theoretical-practical operational concepts of the matter. Competences to be evaluated: CE18, CE17, CG02, CT05, CB10R, CG12, CT02, CE20. Results to evaluate: 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 13.5).

3. FINAL EXAM, which may be replaced by FINAL WORK, developed continuously during the course and collaboratively open BIM MANAGER by teams and with a final presentation in class. Carry out a complete project of all the necessary facilities in an industrial or civil building. Through BIM SERVER EDUCATION (70%) (Aspect S3: Structure and quality of documentation. Competences to evaluate: CE18, CE17, CG02, CT05, CB10R, CG12, CT02, CE20. Results to evaluate: 13.1, 13.2, 13.3 , 13.4, 13.5)

Note: A percentage of 10% of the Evaluation of PRACTICES Aspect S2 and of the FINAL WORK aspect S3 will correspond to the health and safety measures and in particular to the H&S Study applied to each type of industrial installation based on its risks and prevention and protection measures.

A percentage of 10% of the Evaluation of PRACTICES Aspect S2 and of the FINAL WORK aspect S3 will correspond to the application, handling, calculation and use of Open BIM tools applied to analyze the aspects of improvement of the energy and economic efficiency of the facilities, or to analyze the aspects of environmental impact and sustainability, as well as those related to the socio-sanitary safety of each type of industrial installation
