PROGRAMME OF THEORY : LESSON 1. FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS AND LAWS OF CHEMISTRY. Concept of Science. Aim, importance and classification of Chemistry. Classification of matter. Fundamental laws of chemical transformations. DaltonââÂâââââââ¬Å¡¬Å¡¬Å¡¬âÂâââââââ¬Å¡¬Å¡¬Â¢s atomic theory. Symbols and formulas. Formulation and nomenclature of inorganic compounds .Concept of mol, Avogadro's number and molar volume. Determination of empirical and molecular formulas. Stoichiometric calculations.
LESSON 2. ATOMIC STRUCTURE: THE ATOMIC NUCLEUS. Elementary Particles: electron, proton and neutron. RutherfordââÂâââââââ¬Å¡¬Å¡¬Å¡¬âÂâââââââ¬Å¡¬Å¡¬Â¢s atomic model. Atomic number and mass number, isotopes and isobars. Nuclear stability. Natural radioactivity. Kinetics of radioactive decay.

Large group lectures: They consist in masterclasses to teach and learn the theoretical basis of the subjectusing blackboard, computer presentations, etc.
Small group sessions: Classes of numericalproblems and lab-practice sessions. The students will be providedof the corresponding guides to conduct thelab-experiments.
Mentoring collective sessions: They areintended to reinforce the theory classes, including academicallydirected tasks.

As concerns the assessment procedure, the system and weight of the different tasks and activities are kept in both ordinary I and extraordinary II calls.
The teaching/learning resources are those supplied by the University of Jaén as virtual teaching platform, Google tools, digital bibliographic databases, etc.
In the mixed mode, it is remarked that publication of the materials used in the teaching/learning process as well as broadcasting lectures out of the university environment is forbidden. In addition, the students must ask for permission to the lecturers in order to record classes.

In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.
Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.
Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
