The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are worked on in
this subject are:
- SDG9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure;
- SDG11: Sustainable Cities and Communities;
- SDG12: Responsible Production and Consumption;
- SDG13: Climate Action;
Expository classes in large group: They will consist of master classes of the program content for the whole group. The contents will be developed and discussed. Problems and exercises proposed by the teacher will be solved. This methodology and activities will allow students to acquire the indicated competencies (CB2R, CB3R, CB5R, CEM7) and the achievement of Learning Results 68, 69 and 73.
Small group classes: Focused on project-based learning, the
classes will be held in the laboratory or in the classroom, where
the student will receive a script with the objectives of each
practice or seminar and the procedure to follow for its
development. The student must take note of the necessary data to
carry out the development or the corresponding calculations and be
able to make a correct report.. Computer practices will be carried
out with specific Material Selection software. In addition
exercises will be solved, exhibitions and other practical
activities will be held for students to develop the CEM7
competence (Knowledge and skills for the application of materials
engineering). The development of this practical content will
allow Learning Results 70, 71, 73 and 74 to be obtained.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Attendance and participation: 5%
Theory and problem test: 80%
There will be a final written exam and intermediate thematic tests that will have to be passed with a grade greater than 5 out of 10. The final grade for the exam will be: 50% theory grade + 50% problem grade.
Completion of exercises, practice reports: 15%
In an extraordinary call, it will be guaranteed that the students can pass the subject, and where appropriate, obtain the highest grade, by taking an evaluation test.
Evaluated learning results: 68,69,70, 71,72, 73 and 74.
In this way the acquisition of competences CB2R, CB3R, CB5R and CM7 will be verified.
