4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Activities consist of theoretical lectures in which participation and debate will be encouraged (CB2R).

Practical activities will include practical exercises in the classroom with computer. An information retrieval system will be implemented (11R and CSI3R) and will also make use of systems already developed and available under free software (CSI1R). The practical activities must be defended in front of the rest of the students (CB4R). 

Collective tutorials include professional lectures related to the subject as well as common classes of debate about the key concepts of the subject (CB3R).

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The final grade for the course will be the weighted sum of the grades obtained in the previous four blocks (theory, work, practice and participation).

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1) TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

A1 - Large groups classes. In presential mode 100% (*). Class for all students in the group at the assigned timetable and classroom.

A2 - Small group classes. In presential mode at 100% (*). Class to all students in the group in the assigned timetable and classroom.

(*) The Centre may establish a different percentage of attendance depending on the number of students and the capacity of the classroom/laboratory in accordance with health measures.

2) EVALUATION SYSTEM

The evaluation system and instruments will be the same as for the classroom mode, as long as the capacity and infrastructure of the space assigned for the evaluations of the subject allow it. Otherwise, presential tests will be replaced by similar tests developed telematically.

3) RESOURCES

Video conference systems that are available in the spaces that are enabled for teaching will be used, as well as the University's teaching platform. Activities that cannot be carried out presentially will be carried out by means of synchronous and/or asynchronous activities carried out through the virtual teaching platform.

It is expressly forbidden to record by any means the presential or non presential synchronous activities without the explicit permission of the teacher.

9. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

1) TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

The activities that cannot be carried out presentially will be carried out through synchronous and/or asynchronous activities carried out through the virtual teaching platform and the mechanisms that the University allows or enables.

2) EVALUATION SYSTEM

The evaluation system and instruments will be the same as for the presential mode, replacing the presential tests with similar tests developed through the use of the online teaching platform or others that the University allows or enables.

3) RESOURCES

The activities that cannot be carried out presentially will becarried out by means of synchronous and/or asynchronous activities carried out through the virtual teaching platform.

In any case, it is expressly forbidden to record by any means the presential or non presential synchronous activities without the explicit permission of the teacher.

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
