PRACTICAL CONTENTS.

The contents that appear in Block II of theory (Numerical Methods) are developed using the Mathematica program.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

A1- In the lectures in large groups the contents of Differential Equations will be taught. They will be carried out in the two hours of class assigned weekly in the schedule as theory. The CB1R and CBB1R competencies and R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 results will be developed.

A2R- Small group classes will be used to teach the contents of Numerical Methods. They will be held in the two hours assigned weekly in the computer rooms. In these classes the contents of Numerical Methods will be explained together with the completion of exercises using the Mathematica program. The CB1R and CBB1R competencies and R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 results will be developed.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To pass the course it is necessary to pass the block of differential equations and the block of numerical methods.

80% of the total grade for the course will be obtained by taking an exam of the entire course. The CB1R and CBB1R competencies will be evaluated as well as the results R2, R3, R6 and R8.

10% of the total grade for the course will be obtained by taking one or more tests on the contents of Numerical Calculus in class time and using the Mathematica program. The CB1R and CBB1R competencies as well as R4, R6, R7 and R8 results will be evaluated.

10% of the final grade will be obtained by completing problems that will be assigned by the teacher or by preparing a paper on applications of ordinary differential equation. The CB1R and CBB1R competencies will be evaluated as well as the R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 results.

The grades obtained by the students in the sections of work, activities and tests will be maintained in each of the official calls for the academic year.

Students are reminded of the obligation to identify themselves at any time during the tests by ID or equivalent document.

The students are reminded that, according to article 18 of the Regulation of Academic and Evaluation Regime of the Student Body of the University of Jaén, "a call will be considered ended when the assessment in which the student had participated together account for more than 30% of the final grade for the course ".
