3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

1. The field of real numbers.

2. Sequences of real numbers 3. Series of real numbers 4. Functions. Derivation of functions of a real variable. 5. Integration of functions of a real variable. 6. Functions of several real variables: limits, continuity, derivability and integration.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The classes will be theoretical-practical, mixing the
explanation of content with exercises for each of the
concepts.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

There will be a final exam of the subject that will consist
of

Real numbers
inheritance
sets
derivatives
Integrals
Functions of several variables
The work will be evaluated for each topic or group of them, and
part of the content of the subject may be eliminated, for the June
call, prior to the exam, demonstrating their mastery through class
tests, partial tests of various contents or continuous evaluation.

These midterms will allow you to remove a part of the subject or
all of it before the end, notwithstanding not showing up at the
end, even if all of them have been passed, it will mean appearing
as NOT PRESENTED (the student must confirm that they accept the
grade, in case of not showing up at the end it is understood that
you reject the accumulated qualifications and wish to present
yourself in a new call).

These partial marks will only be valid for the ordinary call for
this academic year (continuous evaluation)

6. BOOKLIST
MAIN BOOKLIST:
  • Cálculo de una variable : conceptos y contextos . Edition: 4ª ed. Author: Stewart, James. Publisher: Cengage learning  (Library)
7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

A1 Expository classes in a large group

On-site rotating 50%

Class at the time and classroom assigned to a
part of the group and retransmission by
videoconference to the rest, with rotation
period of students, as determined by the
Center.

The Center may establish a different attendance percentage
depending on the
number of students and classroom/laboratory capacity in accordance
with sanitary measures.

In the case of a multimodal or mixed scenario, and as it is
referred to in the face-to-face mode, the same sessions will be
held (theoretical, exercises and flipped classroom). In that case,
the flipped classroom will increase in percentage to ensure that,
being non-face-to-face, the synchronous sessions achieve greater
knowledge and assimilation of content.

Tutorials will be 100% virtual by appointment.

The evaluation system and resources will be as in the face-to-face
model.

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

In the case of a non-face-to-face scenario, the same sessions
(theoretical, exercises and flipped classroom) will be held as in
face-to-face and mixed cases, but by means of video conferences
(synchronous sessions) and will be used for asynchronous content
sessions (using the channel created from YouTube with the content).
In that case, the flipped classroom will increase in percentage to
ensure that, being non-face-to-face, the synchronous sessions
achieve greater knowledge and assimilation of content.

Tutorials will be 100% virtual by appointment.

The evaluation and the resources will be as in the face-to-face
case.
