3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Unit 1.- Operational Finance and Short-Term Risk Management.

Unit 2.- Company Valuation.

Unit 3. - Corporate Financial Planning. Development of Long-Term Financial Planning.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theoretical lectures will be focused on concepts description and explanation including some practical examples that will be solved on the blackboard. Media resources will be used as supporting tools. In addition, the students will present their group works.


Practical lectures will be focused on the resolution of exercises using Excel as a tool.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In Ordinary Call (Convocatoria Ordinaria), a continuous evaluation system will be applied. Several theoretical/practical exams will be taken during the course. To pass the course, it is necessary to pass all these partial exams (a minimum of 5 points over 10 will be required to pass). The joint final grade of these continuous evaluation exams will respect the weights assigned to the theoretical and practical contents: theory (30%) and practice (60%).

In addition, the students will publicly present their group works. The weight assigned to the group work is a 10% of the total grade of the course and this mark will be kept for extraordinary call (convocatoria extraordinaria).

In the extraordinary call (convocatoria extraordinaria), the students will only have to take the partial exams that they failed in ordinary call. Just like in ordinary call, it is necessary to pass all the partial exams (a minimum of 5 points over 10 will be required to pass) to pass the course.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Teaching methodology

If the classroom capacity is enough for all the students in the group, there will be 100% face-to-face lectures.

If the capacity of the classroom is not enough, the face-to-face lectures will be partial, with some of the students attending the lecture. The rest will be able to follow the lecture online. The face-to-face group will rotate every week.

Evaluation system

No changes from the original syllabus.

Exams will be taken online if it is not possible to take them face-to-face at the university.

Electronic resources to be used

Telematic resources will be needed for teaching and evaluation activities that cannot be carried out face-to-face at the university.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
