The subject is proposed with student-centered teaching methodology that allows students to develop or modify their mindset related to the business world. Furthermore, although some lectures will have theoretical content, most of them are based on presentation and discussions, in order to show opinions and share experiences about the content of the subject and current issues, seeking at all times a favourable climate/ atmosphere that facilitates students participation. In addition, throughout the course, students will perform individual and/or group work/activities that will be part of their final grade/ qualification. Therefore, it cannot be considered a single teaching method as this would be incompatible with the diversity of objectives and variables just mentioned. Thus, for the development of the theoretical part of the subject, debates and discussion groups will be used together with Master Lectures, using different audiovisual media aiming at facilitating the understanding and assimilation of the contents.
Regarding the practical part, cases study methodology will be used although, occasionally, simulation or role-playing or field study work may be used.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
In order to pass the course it will be necessary to obtain 5 points out of 10, as a result of the sum of the grades obtained in the theoretical/practical exam and in the cases elaborated/examined in class. At the same time, in order to pass the course, it will be necessary to obtain a minimum of 4 points out of 10 in the theoretical/practical exam. On the basis of this grade, in the theoretical/practical exam, the grade of the cases elaborated/examined in class will be considered.
The grade of the cases elaborated/examined during the four-month period will be maintained during all the exams of the academic year.
In accordance with article 11 of the academic and student evaluation system, it is strictly forbidden for students to use in class any electronic device not expressly authorized by the professor, such as cell phones, image and sound players, etc. Failure to comply with this rule will result in expulsion from class. Repetition of this behavior will result in permanent exclusion from class and may lead to expulsion from the University of Jaén.
In compliance with article 11 of the academic and evaluation regime of the student body, any student who does not contribute to facilitate with his/her behavior and attitude a good dynamic in class will be asked to leave the class, with the corresponding consequences in the final evaluation. Repetition of this type of behaviour will result in the permanent exclusion of the student from the class and may lead to expulsion from the University of Jaén, after the corresponding procedure has been carried out.
The contents included in this teaching guide will be required in their entirety, regardless of the classes not given due to non-appearance of the students.
During the examinations, tests, evaluation activities, etc., the student may not have at his examination station any electronic device that allows the transmission, reception and storage of data. These must be out of the examination post and completely turned off. Failure to do so will result in expulsion from the exam and a grade of zero.
A student who is observed during exams, quizzes, assessment activities, etc., copying from a classmate or using the aforementioned devices will be expelled from the exam, will be graded with a zero and will proceed to request the opening of the corresponding academic record.
The case of plagiarism or copying of copyrighted or non-copyrighted documents will also be cause for failure and a request will be made to open the corresponding academic file.
At any time during the evaluation test, the teacher may require the identification of the students, who must prove their identity by showing their student card, national identity card, passport or any other officially recognized identification. If the student does not identify himself/herself properly, he/she may be expelled from the test, being considered for all purposes as if he/she had not taken the test.
