The student will made an individual Project End of Master in a research group of the University of Jaén, in one of the associates entitys or in one biotechnological or biomedical companies. This work will consist of an original research work or a project of activities in a biotechnological or biomedical company. The contents will be suitable to the research line or to the entity or company in which the work will be made. A written composition, resume of the work made, will be presented and defended in public session in front of an evaluation commision. If the work is made in one associate company, it will describe the work made by the student in this company, always related with the contents of the Master.

Activity 2: Experimental work. Attended hours: 18. Self-work hours: 157. Total hours: 175. ECTS credits: 7.0.
Activity 3: Elaboration of written manuscript. Attended hours: 0. Self-work hours: 100. Total hours: 100. ECTS credits: 4.
Activity 4: Public presentation. Attended hours: 1.0. Self-work hours: 49. Totals hours: 50. ECTS credits: 2.

Evaluation system
Aspect 1. Written manuscript. Criteria: 1) Presentation, 2) Clarity, 3) Scientific rigour, 4) Attainment of the different sections of the presentation. Instrument of evaluation: written manuscript **. Percentage: 40 %.
Aspect 2. Oral presentation. Criteria: 1) Clarity, 2) Depht of knowledge obtained, 3) Scientific rigour. Instrument of evaluation: Oral presentation***. Percentage: 20%.
Aspect 3: Public defense. Criteria: 1) Quality, 2) depth, and 3) security in the answers. Instrument of evaluation: Answer to the comission´s requests. Percentage: 20%.
Aspect 4: Inform valuated by the Project End Master supervisor. Criteria: 1) Hability in the use of protocols, instruments, techniques and laboratory equipments, 2) Safety use, 3) Capacity of processing, treatment, preparation and discussion of the results, 4) Carry out schedule and work, 5) Hability for lab work organization, 6) Autonomy, 7) Integration capacity and equipe work, 8) Ethics in own work. Percentage: 20%.
** The student will made an original research work that would be presented as a written composition and would be defended in a public session in front of a evaluation comission. The written composition will be adjusted to the master regulation.
***Each student will have a maximum time of 15 min to make the oral presentation. The maximum time for make the questions and discussion with the evaluation comission will be of 10 min.
The system of marks followed the stablished in the RD 1125/2003 of 5 of september.

1- METHODOLOGY AND ACTIVITIES *
As consequence of the exceptional situation provoked by COVID-19, the modality Development of a project is offered. It must include an updated literature review and the typical part of a standard research project: abstract in Spanish and English, keywords, introduction (including antecedents or literature updated review), justification and hypothesis, aims, materials and methods, schedule, own results or believed results and their impact, results diffusion plan, contingency plan, references, etc.
In relation with the methodology and activities, there are no changes with regard to the original course syllabus.

Activity 2: Experimental work. Attended hours: 9 hours face to face and 9 hours online. Self-work hours: 157. Total hours: 175. ECTS credits: 7.0.

2- ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY
In the ordinary and extraordinary announcement, the act of defense and evaluation will be online (if it not were possible to make face-to-face) using the applications proposed by the University of Jaén and following the regulations proved to that effect.

There are no changes with regard to the original course syllabus.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
