The theoretical part includes the
following contents:
-Micropropagación
-Haploid culture
-Obtaining of somatic embryos
-Obtaining of pathogen free plants
-Protoplast culture
-Cell cultures
-Measure Resistance biotic and abiotic stress
-Production of artificial seeds
-The Role of biotechnology in maintaining genebanks
-Characterisation of olive varieties with genetic markers SSRs and SNPs
-Use of biotechnology in livestock improvement and products
The practical part focuses on the following aspects:
-Obtaining haploid individuals
-Obtaining virus free plants
-Obtaining somatic embryos from callus
-Artificial seeds
-Regeneration of plants through organogenesis
-Isolation and cultivation of monocotyledonous roots

The assessment in the Ordinary Examination will be as follows:
-The aspect "Theoretical concepts of matter" whose instrument is "Delivery of works" (50%).
-The aspect "Laboratory Practices/ computer" whose instrument is "Assistance, quality grade of achievement and participation and delivery of lab notebook" (50%).
In the Extraordinary Examination, the instrument to evaluate the "Theoretical Concepts of the subject" and the "Laboratory Practices" will be an exam.

All teaching activities, including evaluation, will be face-to-face to the extent that the social and health situation allows.
On-line teaching will be using the Resources of the University of Jaén, google meet and email.
Face-to-face teaching will be using the means available at the University of Jaén.

In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.
Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.
Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. Procedure aim: To manage proper recordings of teaching sessions with the aim of facilitating learning process under a multimodal and/or online teaching
