healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages and No. 4
Guarantee inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote
learning opportunities throughout life for everyone.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Master class sessions in a large group in which the essential
theoretical contents will be presented. Four external invited
speakers, experts in diagnostic biotechnology and linked to the
business and hospital world (biosensors, microarrays, massive
sequencing and clinical genetics). Practical classes in which
different immunohistochemical and genetic diagnosis techniques will
be carried out, as well as the analysis of massive genotyping data.
Student seminars and discussion sessions on real cases.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Ordinary evaluation: To evaluate attendance at both
theoretical and practical classes, a roll call will be taken in
each session. The proactivity and participation of the students in
all the proposed activities will be evaluated, being especially
significant the capacity for debate and argumentation in the
discussion after the seminars. As well as in the theoretical
questions and issues raised by the teaching staff throughout the
theoretical and practical classes. Each student must submit a
report of the practices carried out, a work consisting of the
review of a topic or a scientific article, as well as giving a
seminar. Extraordinary evaluation: exam of the theoretical and
practical contents and recovery work or seminar.
