3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The TFM will preferably be organised as research articles, where at least the background, objectives, methodology, results and discussion, and conclusions must be clearly expressed, with bibliographical citations interspersed in the text, which will be developed in a list of references structured according to the use of each area of knowledge. The dissertation will be carried out individually under the supervision of a tutor chosen by the Academic Coordination Committees of the master's degree. The TFM will focus on a research problem related to the Master's subjects. Preferably, each student will carry out the TFM within the field of the speciality studied (Physical Education and Health Education), although the competences acquired will be the same for all students.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

M11 Master's thesis: Individual guidance/tutoring.

Each project will be supervised by a maximum of one or two lecturers, who will exercise their functions with the same level of responsibility and who must jointly sign the approval of the dissertation. The tutors must have a higher university education.
• Each student, prior to the meeting to choose tutors, will write down in a list, in order, up to 10 professors.

There are two calls for the Master's thesis defence (July and December). If the TFM is not passed during the corresponding academic year, the assignment of tutor and topic will be extended to the following academic year, after the students have enrolled. After this second academic year, a new assignment of tutor and topic will have to be made.
• The teaching guide of the Master's Platform will specify, for each course and sufficiently in advance, the deadline for defending the work.
• To receive information about the research to be carried out, the student must contact directly the tutor/s related to the chosen line. This process of assigning lines and tutors for the Master's thesis will preferably be carried out during the first two months of the Master's course.

Evaluation and grading of the TFM
The panels will be made up of three PhD members.
The tutor of a dissertation may not be a member of the examining board.
Once the examination has been completed and after deliberation by the examining board, the paper will be graded. The grade will be awarded, in accordance with Royal Decree 1125/2003 of 5 September, on a numerical scale from 0 to 10, to one decimal place, to which the corresponding qualitative grade must be added: 0 to 4.9: Fail; 5.0 to 6.9: Pass; 7.0 to 8.9: Outstanding; 9.0 to 10: Excellent. At the end of the call, the Academic Coordination Committees of the master's degree programmes, in view of the reports issued by the panels and, where appropriate, after hearing the chair of each panel, will decide on the awarding of the mention of Honours to the dissertations they deem appropriate, in accordance with the regulations in force.
The identification by the examining board of plagiarism in the TFM, whether in the deposit or defence phase, will be grounds for a grade of Fail (0), regardless of the measures provided for in the disciplinary system.
disciplinary regime of the University of Jaén. In the event that plagiarism is detected before the public defence, the student will lose his/her right to the defence.
The examining board will draw up a report of the defence of the dissertation in which, in addition to the corresponding marks, the students who did not attend the defence of the dissertation, if any, must be included.
If the result of the grade is Failed, the examining board will send a report with the recommendations it considers appropriate for its improvement and subsequent evaluation to the tutoring lecturer and to the students responsible for the TFM.
Revision of the grade
The revision of the TFM grade will be carried out after submitting a reasoned complaint to the Academic Coordination Committee of the Master's Degree. The regulations governing the University of Jaén's examination or assessment claims system will be applicable.
