1.The beginning of an empirical investigation: the research
problem, objectives, hypotheses, work plan.
2.The choice of measurement instruments: reliability and
validity, cultural adaptations.
3. The study of the relationship and prediction of variables:
correlation and regression, data analysis using SPSS.
4. The study of the differences between two or more
populations: the contrast of hypotheses and their interpretation,
data analysis using SPSS.
5. Dissemination of information: preparation of a scientific
report.
The methodological approach to be used in this subject comes from the use of the adaptive flipped classroom based on the use of just in time teaching (JITT). In addition, in order to promote the study prior to the face-to-face classes, we will carry out activities to help students acquire and understand the knowledge and provide them with the opportunity to be original and capable of developing research in the field of Dependence (CB6; E13; E20) and to promote their personal autonomy (E44). Through the development of a research proposal, students should be able to acquire the necessary skills to prepare and interpret a scientific or professional report (E30) and be able to communicate their knowledge and conclusions to different audiences (GE3). They must also acquire continuous, autonomous and self-directed learning skills (CB10; GE4). In addition to specific tests, a continuous assessment will be carried out during the classes. This continuous assessment will allow to know if the students have reached sufficient autonomy to participate actively in research projects (RB10) thanks to their understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject (RB6), and their ability to communicate results to a specialized and non-specialized audience (RG3) and to be able to develop an autonomous learning in this field (RG4).
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The evaluation of the subject will be carried out with the following weights: 10% for attendance and participation in face-to-face classroom and/or virtual sessions, 45% through the completion of assignments and case studies and 45% through the application of ITC tools through specific tests. Since the assessment is done continuously, both the competences (CB10; E20; E30; E44; GE3; CB6; E 13 and GE4) and the learning outcomes (RB10; RB6; RG3 and RG$) are evaluated in all activities.
