Practice 3 (INF 1): Use of tables and databases on food
composition. Calculation of needs and recommendations.
Practice 4 (INF 2): Adjustment of diets I: Energy and nutrient

Practice 5 (INF 3): Adjustment of diets II: Bioavailability.

INTEGRATION OF THE SDG
These contents connect with the United Nations sustainable
development goals (SDGs). Mainly with regard to goals 2 (zero
hunger) and 3 (health and well-being). Objectives 4 (quality
education) and 5 (gender equality) will be promoted across the
board.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

THEORY

Theoretical class (large group or teaching group): (3.8 ECTS).
Methodology: master class. Presentation by the teaching staff of
the contents of the thematic units of the subject, promoting
discussion and active participation of the students. Preparation by
the students of monographic works on topics of interest related to
the subject and presentation of the same to the rest of the group.

 

Group tutorials (very small groups): (0.2 ECTS). Methodology: Small
groups where the students will pose and try to solve, together with
the teacher, those doubts and questions that have arisen during the
rest of the training activities. The use of virtual media (teaching
platform) will be encouraged to solve doubts and problems, as well
as to monitor students.

PRACTICES

Practical classes (2 ECTS). Methodology: laboratory practices,
computer rooms and eco-garden. Preparation by the students of works
and reports based on the results obtained during the practical
sessions.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

1.- Assessment of knowledge through a written test
(CE21-CE24-G11)

50% of the final score

2.- Continuous evaluation:

a.-Carrying out the monographic work (CT4-CT7)

20% of the final score

b.- Presentation of the monographic work (CT10-CT2-CT3-CT9)

10% of the final score

c.- Participation in practical sessions (CE21-CE24-CT8-CG12)

10% of the final score

d.- Delivery of work and activities related to practices
(CT1-CT5-CT6-CG8)

10% of the final score

The evaluation system will be the same for the ordinary and
extraordinary call.

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1) Teaching methodology and training activities.

Master classes Large group or teaching group 38 one-hour sessions.
In person to the extent that the social and health situation allows
it.

Methodology: exhibition by the teaching staff of the contents of
the thematic units of the subject. Exhibition of monographic works
by the students.

Group tutorials (small groups) online

Methodology: Resolution of questions about the subject. The use of
virtual media will be encouraged

(platform for teaching).

Practices 8 sessions of two hours and two sessions of 4 hours.

Methodology: practices in the laboratory and in computer rooms,
trip to the university eco-garden. In person to the extent that the
social and health situation allows it.

2)Evaluation system

Acquisition of theoretical knowledge (50% of the global grade): It
will be evaluated by multiple choice test in person to the extent
that the social and health situation allows it. It is a necessary
condition to obtain at least 50% of the maximum grade assigned to
this section for the rest to be added.

Continuous evaluation (30% of the overall grade): It will be
assessed through the development and presentation of monographic
work.

Continuous evaluation (20% of the overall grade): Participation in
practical sessions and delivery of practical exercises will be
valued. It is necessary to attend at least 80% of the practices to
pass the subject.

Both attendance and participation in face-to-face sessions and
online participation and attendance will be taken into account.

The evaluation system will be the same in the ordinary and
extraordinary calls.

university facilities, provided that the social and health
conditions allow it.

9. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

1) Teaching methodology and training activities.

the thematic units of the subject. Exhibition of monographic works
by the students.

Group tutorials (small groups) online

Methodology: Resolution of questions about the subject. The use of
virtual media will be encouraged

Practices 8 sessions of two hours and 2 sessions of 4 hours.

Methodology: practices by videoconference using computer programs
and videos.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
