3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Unit 1. Conceptual and terminological introduction: brain plasticity and development of the nervous system.

Unit 2. Genetic, epigenetic factors, brain development and behavior.

Topic 3. Prenatal and postnatal behavior: functions, early learning and memory.

Unit 4. Psychobiology and neuroendocrinology of development.

Unit 5. Neuropsychological examination and evaluation: evaluation tests.

Unit 6. Neurodevelopmental disorders: sleep, attention, hearing, language, social and academic learning, and other associated disorders.

The contents and competences of this subject integrate the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The activities that will be carried out in large groups contemplate 5 hours a week of expository-interactive classes in which the theoretical contents will be explained along with general examples of the same.

The activities that will be carried out in small group contemplate 3 hours a week; In these the students will actively participate in the development of the same putting into practice the knowledge exposed in the subject.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation system described below will be used:

  • Short exams to determine the evolution of knowledge. They can be done both in person and virtually, according to sanitary and infrastructure conditions. R6, R7, R13, R14, R15.
  • Final exam, which will be held in the period indicated by the Faculty, where the contents exposed throughout the course will be evaluated. Its realization in a presentational or virtual way will depend on the sanitary conditions of the moment. R6, R7, R13, R14, R15 -
  • Exhibition and review of scheduled activities. They can be done both in person and virtually. R1, R2, R5, R7, R15, R17, R18

8. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

In the multimodal or mixed teaching scenario, large group teaching and practice group teaching will take place in a non-face-to-face and semi-face-to-face mode, every other week. In the semi-attendance week, the attendance may rich up to 50%, depending on the number of students enrolled and the assigned teaching classroom, whenever sanitary conditions allow it.

*     In extraordinary calls 1 and / or 2, the student who has not carried out the self-training activities (practical activities), or expressly renounces the grade they may have obtained in them, will have a global exam where they can obtain the maximum rating (10). In this global exam, to the questions with a more theoretical content (exam out of 6,5, the same as the one carried out by the students who do carry out the activities and take their scores), questions from the content developed in the self-training activities will be added, which will be worth 3,5 points, which will complete the final grade of 10.

9. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

In the case of a non-classroom setting, all activities, both large group and small group, such as tutoring, will be carried out online, synchronously and asynchronously.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
