In the theoretical sessions students are expected to participate. Some of the students might even optionally present some of their translations in class. In the practical sessions, the students' protagonism is even larger, since their particpation is essential for the normal development of the sessions. They must participate for the correction of the practical activities and in the discussions to which the different activities could give rise. For students to be able to complete the course successfully, an upper-intermediate or advanced level both in English and Spanish is required.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Attendance and participation will be taken into account only if attendance reaches at least 75% of the total number of hours. Otherwise, students will have to contribute to the forum. A final assignment will have to be handed in. Students will do it in pairs. The deadline to send it will be the last day of class, although it can be sent two weeks in advance.

The planning described above and the exact percentages corresponding to face-to-face sessions will depend on what is allowed by the registration and infrastructures conditions.
In this scenery, the assessment system will not suffer any change with respect to that presented above in the corresponding session.
The virtual teaching platform will be used similarly to how it was used during the face-to-face teaching period, although some of its potentialities will be developed to a higher extent, such as learning modules and the course forum.
GSuite Meet videoconference application will be used for classes, in which the official timetable will be maintained, as well as for virtual tutorials. Some compensatory elements have been established in case there were any students with problems to connect to the videoconference sessions, such as: learning modules, participation in the course forum, queries via e-mail, etc.

Substitution of the 45 practical sessions by online practical activities (Apart from the participation in the course forum, from optional activities, from brief presentations via video-conference, and from a compulsory subtitling assignment in pairs, students will have to hand in another compulsory paper consisting of a translation assignment with a guided commentary on their own translation process). |

All the tutorials, both synchronous and asynchronous will be online. |
The course assessment will be based basically on continuous assessment in which the students' participation in synchronous and asynchronous activities will be taken into account, considering each student's particular circumstances. The assessment instruments will be the following:
- Participation in the course forum
- Interventions in the videoconference sessions
- Handing in of optional activities
- Brief optional presentations in the videoconference sessions
- Compulsory subtitling assignment in pairs with a commentary on the orthotypographical conventions, translation problems and translation solutions adopted.
- Individual compulsory assignment consisting in the translation of a written text with a guided commentary on one's own translation.
The weight corresponding to each of the aspects is the following:
- Attendance and/or participation through the different channels: 20%
- Subtitling assignment and, en su caso, optional activities: 40%
Individual translation assignment with commentary: 40%
In the second call ( convocatoria extraordinaria) the percentage corresponding to attendance and/or participation will be distributed between the two compulsory assignments, which will stand for 50% of the final grade in each of the cases. Moreover, the subtitling assignment will be done individually.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.
Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.
Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.
Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.
Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es

Procedure aim: To manage proper recordings of teaching sessions with the aim of facilitating learning process under a multimodal and/or online teaching
Period for record storage: Images will be kept during legal term according to regulations in force
Legitimacy: Data will be managed according to legal regulations (Organic Law 6/2001, December 21, on Universities) and given consent provided by selecting corresponding box in legal admission documents
