5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In order to pass the subject, it will be an essential requirement that students obtain a score equal to or greater than 5.0 in the whole subject.

Throughout the development of the subject, partial exams of the theoretical or practical content of the subject may be carried out, whose maximum weighting could reach up to 50% (equivalent to 3 points and 1.5 points, respectively) of the theoretical and practical sections of the subject.

The score obtained in the "Attendance and participation" section (up to a maximum of 10% or 1 point) will include both large group activities (theoretical classes) and small group activities (practical activities).

In extraordinary calls, students may choose to take advantage of: a) the same evaluation procedure provided for in ordinary calls, or b) a "single test" evaluation procedure that will cover the theoretical and practical contents of the subject, students can achieve the highest grade. In the latter case, students must communicate it in writing to the teaching staff of the group in which they are enrolled, at least one week in advance. The non-communication of this information will be interpreted in terms of the acceptance of the procedure used for the ordinary call.

The grade achieved by attendance, participation, completion of assignments, cases and/or exercises, as well as continuous assessment tests will be valid only for the current academic year, not keeping the grades in these sections from one academic year to the next.

In the final grade, the collaboration of the student body in the investigations of the Department of Psychology may also be taken into consideration (for example, acting as a participant in experiments and studies developed by its teachers). This collaboration may result in an increase of up to 0.6 additional points in the final grade. Such increase will only be applicable in the case of having obtained at least a value of 5.0 in the subject.
