4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

• The theoretical and practical lessons will take place in the classroom and in the Electronics laboratory.

• In the theoretical lessons the theoretical content of each topic will be presented and practical application exercises (analysis and design) will be carried out.

• The practical lessons in the laboratory will allow the application of what has been learned in the classroom, its focus being fundamentally practical.

• In the theoretical and practical lessons it will be tried that the student acquires the necessary knowledge so that he can get to acquire the knowledge and competences of the subject.

• Hours will be reserved for presentation and debate of students' work, presentation and comments of exercises, as well as other teaching activities that are agreed with the teacher.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The subject values theoretical and practical knowledge. An useful, feasible, ethical and accurate assessment is made, whose objective it is not only the student`s qualification, but it should give enough data in order to analyze the development of the subject by the professor .

• A continuous, weekly evaluation, with the development of the 12 guided practices. The weighting, in this case, would be 15% corresponding to participation (classes, practices, seminars and tutorials), 5% to attendance, 40% to guided practices and 40% to a test or theoretical-experimental work.

• As previously stated, it is a continuous evaluation. For this reason, final works to be carried out will be proposed, of a theoretical-experimental type, supported by the knowledge acquired in the subject. Its weight will be 40%.   A continuously monitoring is done and students are informed of their progress. The practices have a rating of 0 to 10.

  UNIQUE TEST

In compliance with article 13 of the Regulations of the Academic Regime and Student Assessment of the University of Jaén, any student who justifiably (according to the assumptions contained in the aforementioned article) cannot participate in the regulated and complementary activities of a face-to-face nature proposed in the subject, may request the teaching staff to change the evaluation procedure to 'single test'. This request, together with the corresponding justification, must be made at least one week before the start of the examination period. In this case, there will be a theoretical-practical test that will evaluate S2 (concepts of the subject) and S4 (laboratory practices).

A compulsory theoretic-practical exam or a design will be done in exceptional cases (non in person class).
