4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theory hours are used to expose the subject contents by the professor.

Surveying Practical are used to put knowledge to the practical use of topographic instruments and the theory studied in class.

It will be a continuous evaluation in the practical hours. Those which do not pass such continuous evaluation will have to complete a practical test to pass the course.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

During the course of the execution of field practicum hours will be continuous evaluation, keeping track of each student, noting their progress in handling instrumentation.

Although data collection is done jointly, the rest of the practice must be done individually and must be submitted to the teacher NO MORE THAN A WEEK LATER THAN THE DATE OF THE EXAM.

It will be a continuous evaluation in the practical hours. Those which which do not pass such continuous evaluation will have to complete a practical test to pass the course .

A maximum of two fouls to the practice field are allowed.

In the event that a student copy the practice of another, bothwill be suspended. The practices carried out in a course shall bevalid only for that course.

 

The practice will be MANDATORY delivered by email following the instructions below.

The name of the files will follow the same notation as that described for the Subject.

ANY PRACTICE THAT IS NOT DELIVERED BY FOLLOWING THIS FORMAT, WILL SHOW AS NOT TURNED IT.

The practices will have to be delivered AT A MAXIMUM, seven days after the date of the exam.

That person who does not pass the practices during the course, will have the right to a practical test, execution and calculation of results.

A maximum of two field practice fouls is allowed.
In the event that a student copies the practice of another, both will be suspended.

Evaluation of the cognitive part

A test which covers theory (20 multiple choice questions) and exercices (3 or 4).

Theory

The test will consist on twenty (20) multiple choicequestions.

The well answered question will be worth one point, the wrong answers subtract one-third and blank responses do not score.

Exercices

Exercices will be a direct application of the theory studied and implemented in practice. To pass the written exam is necessary that the note of each of the parts is greater than or equal to four.

The final exam will be the arithmetic mean of the two sides.

Calculator policy

To protect the integrity of its exams, the types of calculators you may bring to the exam room are limited. The only calculator models acceptable for use during the exam are as follows.

Casio: All FX-115/ FX-991 / FX- 570 models. Any Casio calculator must contain fx-115 in its model name. Examples of acceptable CasioFx-115/ FX-991 / FX- 570 models include (but are not limited to): FX-115 MS / FX-991 MS / FX - 570 MS FX-115 MS Plus / FX-991 MS Plus / FX-570 MS Plus FX-115 MS SR / FX-991 MS SR / FX-570 MS SR FX-115 ES / FX-991 ES Plus / FX-570 MS Plus
Hewlett Packard: The HP 33s and HP 35s models, but no others.
Texas Instruments: All TI-30X and TI-36X models. Any Texas Instruments calculator must contain either TI-30X orTI-36X in its model name. Any student found using a calculator that is not on the list above will be thrown out from the classroom and your final grade will be FAIL

No partial results are saved, nor within the same course or acourse for another.

To pass the course it is necessary that the final mark of the subject must be is greater than or equal to five and that the exam and practice must be greater than four.

The final mark will be given by: NF= 0.75 N written exam + 0.15N practical work + 0.10 N Virtual Campus Activities

In order to pass the course, it is necessary to obtain, at least, in each of the tests a grade higher than four. The note of any part will not be saved between calls.

 

The transition to a non-face-to-face scenario would occur naturally: the theoretical teaching activities would continue according to the contents of the teaching guide, but carried out virtually through synchronous videoconference. Likewise, the practical classes would continue according to the provisions of the teaching guide by proposing and solving exercises and practical classes in person. Collective and individual tutoring would be intensified for the clarification of doubts and supervision of directed work, through personal emails and video calls.

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
