4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

* Theoretical classes: they will serve to highlight the most important aspects of the topics, motivating the student through dialogue and the exchange of ideas. Theoretical classes will take place in the classroom, interspersing problems between the theoretical explanations when deemed appropriate. During these classes, various audiovisual aids will be used to support teaching.

* Laboratory practices: the knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes will be strengthened, especially those related to the aspects of the use of equipment, assembly of circuits and their compression.

* The theoretical and practical classes will aim for the student to acquire the knowledge and skills described above.

* Seminars, presentation of work and debate: work sessions in which the teacher, with a group of students, examines and compares the different points of view and opinions of all its components, in order to contribute to the understanding of the problems analyzed.

* Tutorials: they will try to solve the doubts raised by the students about the theoretical-practical classes or about the different activities and work that the students must carry out.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and active participation in class, either in person or on the virtual teaching platform or virtual platforms, will be evaluated by the faculty and can be evaluated with 20% of the final grade. In this section the CT2 and CT4 skills will be evaluated.
The theoretical exam will consist of a test in which theoretical knowledge and problems and projects will be evaluated and will account for 40% of the final grade. The competencies CEL2, CEL6, CT2, CT4 and the learning outcomes 15R, 16, 17R and 18R will be evaluated.
The performance of individual or group work will be evaluated with 40% of the final grade. The CT2 and CT4 competencies and the learning outcomes 15R, 16, 17R, 18R and 20 will be evaluated.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

According to the determination of the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Jaén for the course of Efficiency and energy saving, the theoretical classes in large groups (A1) will be 100% presencial in the classroom and assigned time schedule. As for the small group classes (A2 - practicals), according to the guidelines of the Center, they will also be 100% presencial in the laboratory and assigned time schedules.

The evaluation system and weights will be the same as in the totally presencial scenario determined in this course guide.

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

The theoretical classes in large groups (A1) will be online by videoconference in the assigned time schedule. Regarding the classes in small group (A2 - practical), they will be conducted online using videos about practices and will be complemented with directed activities for each of the practices at the assigned times.

2- EVALUATION SYSTEM

All exams will be conducted online. The weights must be modified to give more value to the student's work and will be distributed as follows:

  • Theoretical exam: 30%.
  • Individual activities, practice memories, group work: 60%
  • Attendance and participation in class: 10%.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
