3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Introduction: The business strategic management

Globalisation and the strategic decision of internationalisation: economy and business globalisation, driving factors of globalisation, relationship between globalisation and business strategy, business implications.

Concept of business internationalization, theories, approaches and models explaining business internationalization. Business International Approaches: typology of international companies, parts that integrate the business strategy and selection of foreign markets.

The entry modes to the develop the international strategy: their choice decision, typology of entry modes, factors to be considered in the choice of the entry mode and political risk.

The implementing process international strategy: organization (centralization decentralization), organizational design of the international company and cultural problems in the internationalization of the company.

Business cooperation: concept and justifying arguments of cooperation agreements, typology of strategic alliances and key aspects and use of cooperation agreements in the development of international strategy.

Cross cultural management and Technology Management in a Global Environment. 

 

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

  1. THE EXPOSITORY CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN LARGE GROUP

    INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES. - MASTER SESSION. – THEORETICAL LECTURES WHERE MANY GENERAL EXAMPLES WILL APPEAR.

    PRACTICAL CLASSES IN GROUPS WHERE SEVERAL ACTIVITIES HAVE TO BE WORKED, DISCUSSED AND SOLVED: ACTIVITIES. - DEBATES- EXERCISES AND PRACTICAL CASES. - PRESENTATIONS

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

This is a face-to-face subject where the attendance to theoretical and practical lectures together with the submission of the practical activities, previously explained in the practical rooms, will be essential to follow the contents and to pass the subject.

Thus, along the semester, exercises and practical activities proposed and explained in the lectures will be carried out (2 points maximum). The qualification obtained in this section (active participation in lessons, debates, working groups and forums) is maintained both for the ordinary call and for the extraordinary call of the academic year and will be added to the final mark of the tests, theoretical and practical, for the calculation of the final qualification.

There will be a final theoretical test exam (4 points maximum) and there will be a final practical exam (4 points maximum).

It is compulsory to achieve at least 1.5 points in the final theoretical test exam to add the rest of the marks (from practical and active participation). When the student does not achieve this mínimum the final subject mark overlaps with the mark of the theoretical examen.

With active participation in class, debates, group work and forums, the E35, G21, G7 and G14 competencies will be evaluated.

With the final test of the theoretical concepts, the E12B, G23, G28 and G3 competences will be evaluated, whereas with the final test of the practical contents, the E11, G21, G23, G26, G7 and G3 competences will be evaluated.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

METHODOLOGY AND ACTIVITIES

In a multimodal or mixed scenario, we proceed to replace part of the face-to-face teaching (Lectures for big groups) as well as the face-to-face tutorials, by virtual teaching through the use of synchronous and asynchronous activities.

The qualification obtained in this section (active participation in lessons, debates, working groups and forums) is maintained both for the ordinary call and for the extraordinary call of the academic year and will be added to the final mark of the tests, theoretical and practical, for the calculation of the final qualification.

There will be a final test, exam, where the student will have to apply the theoretical concepts of the subject to practice. With this test it is intended to verify the master of the theoretical contents of the subject applied to the business field.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
