6. Cell therapy in neurodegenerative diseases.

7. Clinical aspects.

8.  Proteomics.

9. Animal models used during aging.

10. Molecular Biology and Celuar techniques.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

This subject is designed to provide advanced and practical training of the molecular processes and mechanisms of aging and neurodegenerative diseases as well as to know the potential cellular and pharmacological therapies for their treatment. The subject pursues all this through the acquisition of the skills indicated through the exhibitions of the teachers invited researchers, practices and seminars.

Resources

In the case of having to carry out the teaching of this subject in a NON-PRESENCIAL scenario, the GSUITE resources and the technical means provided by the University will be used, as well as other resources such as electronic bibliographic resources that do not require physical presence in the library.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Ordinary Call

Evaluation of theoretical and practical content (70%) in presence/online mode and attendance and Participation (30%)

Extraordinary Call

In the event that any of the parties evaluated (Considering passed the parties with: Oral Examination with a rating of 5 points out of 10 and attendance of 70% of theoretical and practical classes), the qualifications of the passed parts will be saved and an additional evaluation test will be carried out on the contents acquired in the large group exhibition classes.

Resources

In the case of an online evaluation, the GSUITE resources of the University of Jaén will be used.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Presence/online format

Maximum presence will be applied in both Theoretical and Practical sessions, with the online format being implemented in the minimum of sessions required to achieve the competencies and ECTS provided. The exact number of possible face-to-face sessions will be established once the effective capacity of the laboratories has been determined by the Occupational Risk Prevention Service and the number of students enrolled.

Methodology:

For the 2 laboratory sessions that had to be taught online, synchronous and/or asynchronous format will be used using the tools provided by the Virtual Teaching and Computer Services of the UJA.

The evaluation will follow the criteria and methods described in the face-to-face scenario or using online resources if necessary.

Regarding the technical resources used, those provided by the University of Jaén may be used.
