Evaluation

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation involves two creative projects: 1) The composition portfolio requires the completion of an electroacoustic work that follows certain academic criteria in a limited period of time. The criteria could be collaborative, or can include electroacoustic musical ideas and concepts related to other types of artistic expressions (visual, literary or dramatic), intermediate (cinema) and creative industries (video games). 2) Creative project, development and creative use of interactive musical work or system that includes multimedia technologies and gestural interfaces. They may include the use of interactive audio-visual tools. The evaluation of the subject, participation, exhibitions, theoretical tests and delivery of practical cases, can be done on line or in person. Online format, admitted the telematic tools used by the UJA: Uja virtual teaching, Google Meet, Google Forms, etc. The evaluation systems will be the same in any of the teaching scenarios (presencial, multimodal or non-presencial) that we may face up. Percentages for each criterion and evaluation instrument will also be the same in any of these scenarios.

The teaching-learning process will be focused in exercises that will be part of the students assessment taking into account the evaluation criteria and procedures indicated in the previous section (attendance, reviews of scientific articles, papers and artistic practices and projects).
In this way, according to the proposed assessment system, there are learning an evaulation procedures to get the teaching-learning experience of the students during the subject.

Therefore, students assessment will be carried out through continuous evaluation, however, for those students who do not pass the continuous evaluation they will have to take a test either in person / online. The rest of the activities would not be modified. Students need to pass both parts to get an average.

6. BOOKLIST
MAIN BOOKLIST:
  • On some faraway beach : the life and times of Brian Eno David Sheppard.. Edition: -. Author: Sheppard, David.. Publisher: Chicago Review Press  (Library)
7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

If a mixed multimodal teaching scenario is proposed: face-to-face (presential) and online. The resources for the follow-up of the subject will be adapted to said system with presential classes in the classroom and virtual teaching through the ILIAS virtual teaching platform, the Uja institutional mail and online meetings. Optionally, other telematic tools may be used, but tools admitted by the UJA will always be used: Uja virtual teaching, Google Meet, Google Forms, etc.

 MIXED SCENARIO

All the subjects of the master are developed in sessions of three hours to four hours. Production, management and artistic criticism takes place in 12 to 15 sessions of this type depending on the number of conferences scheduled for the subject. Classrooms have been reserved to ensure 100% attendance with all security guarantees. If for some reason this was not possible, it would be carried out with 50% face-to-face (presential) and 50% in simultaneous connection via videoconference.

In the unlikely event of having to reduce attendance, teachers are strongly recommended to insert any of the methods that force the student to be in sync with the teacher and with the whole group. It would be as follows:

Training actions

Teaching methodology Description

Practical sessions in specialized classrooms

The practical sessions will be complemented with online or face-to-face (presential) training activities, including those that are pertinent to digital creation, especially aimed at maintaining synchronous activity that does not lose the rhythm of the continuous evaluation of the students. It would be necessary to necessarily include chats or online groups, which entail an educational articulation through projects or exercises to complement the interaction in class.

Theory sessions

Sessions with masterclass methodology and participation-action, of variable duration each but without exceeding a prudent limit in the explanatory parts, carried out in person but exportable to videoconference and including, as far as possible, dynamic interaction tools for explanations for those that are virtually connected. Due to the possible intensity of information, it is recommended to include here asynchronous actions, such as reading articles and documents or reviewing creative products, as well as study and analysis tasks that involve the participatory acquisition of the theoretical knowledge that is explained.

Problem-solving sessions / exercises

They will consist of face-to-face (presential) or online sessions synchronously.

Tutorships

All tutoring sessions will be held in person or online at the request of the students or teachers (synchronous and asynchronous)

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

The subjects are developed in sessions of three to four hours. Production, management and artistic criticism, takes place in 12 to 15 sessions of this type depending on the number of conferences scheduled for the subject. If for some circumstance such as confinement, the subject would have to be taught 100% non-face-to-face (presential), the activities are expected to maintain the same opportunity for synchronicity and asynchrony that face-to-face teaching has.

Teachers are strongly recommended to insert some of the methods that force students to be in sync with the teacher and with the whole group. The general terms would be as follows:

Training actions

Teaching methodology Description

Practical sessions in specialized classrooms

Substitution of practical sessions for online training activities, including those that are relevant for digital creation, especially aimed at maintaining synchronous activity so as not to lose continuous assessment for students. It would be necessary to necessarily include chats or online groups, which involve an educational articulation through projects or exercises.

Theory sessions

Sessions with masterclass methodology and participation-action, of variable duration, carried out by videoconference and including, as far as possible, dynamic interaction tools for explanations. Due to the possible intensity of information, it is recommended to include here asynchronous actions, such as reading articles and documents or reviewing creative products, as well as study and analysis tasks that involve the participatory acquisition of the theoretical knowledge that is explained.

Problem-solving sessions / exercises

They will consist of online sessions synchronously.

Tutorships

All tutoring sessions will be held online at the request of students or teachers (synchronous and asynchronous)
