4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

  • Lecture (Theory): 2-4 Hours per week
  • Lecture (Practice): 10 hours per week (2 weeks)
  • 40 classroom lectures where students are exposed to the basic content of the course is taught. Activities such content at the end of each cluster must expose the student arise. In practical classes develop their capacities and practical skills in the microbiology laboratory, both of virology and bacteriology is encouraged.

Teaching methodology Description

40 Theory sessions about contents of the program

If the health situation allows it, the classes will be held in person in the classroom

40 theoretical classes will be taught in which the basic contents of the subject are exposed to the students.  Activities are proposed at the end of each thematic group that the students must present.

20 practical sessions will be held in the laboratory

If the health situation allows it, the classes will be held in person

 

Classes in groups of practices respecting the capacity of the teaching laboratories, to the extent that the socio-sanitary situation allows, the practices will be complemented with teaching on the virtual platform.  

 

Assessment system: Continuous assessment of the course through seminars and activities, both content theoretical and practical, will be available by the students through the Virtual Teaching Platform of the University of Jaén, which will represent 50% of the final grade. A final test in person will be in the classroom if the social and health situation allows it, which will account for 50% of the final grade.

The same criteria will be followed for the ordinary call and extraordinary call

Resources: The computer resources and electronic bibliographic resources provided by the University of Jaén will be used.

40 sessions of participatory master classes, each lasting one hour, carried out by videoconference.

20 practical sessions will be held in the laboratory

20 online practical sessions through synchronous activities of explanations of the practical and asynchronous methodologies in which the students work individually and carry out work on the practical content of the subject.  

 

Assessment system: Continuous assessment of the course through seminars and activities, both content theoretical and practical, will be available by the students through the Virtual Teaching Platform of the University of Jaén, which will represent 50% of the final grade.  An online synchronous final test will also be carried out through the Teaching Platform or the Google Forms application, which will account for 50% of the final grade.

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
