3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Block I: Risk factors in prenatal development, birth and in childhood.

  1. RISK FACTORS IN PRENATAL DEVELOPMENT AND BIRTH. Care in the newborn in the hospital setting. Care in the primary care area.
  2. FAMILY CONTEXT: RISK FACTORS IN SOCIO-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS. Types of families currently. Implications of the family context in the development. Parenting practices. The positive education of the children.
  3. RISK FACTORS IN CHILD ABUSE AND CHID SECUAL ABUSE.

    Block II: Risk factors in adolescende. 

  4. RISK AND PREVENTION OF ANOREXIA AND BULIMIA IN ADOLECENCE.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The contents of this subject willl be delivered mostly in the form of lectures. Attendance to lectures and other academis activities (practical exercises, etc) es required. A list of mandatory reading will be presented through the course. practical exercises will be assessed through reports and/or controls of attendance and class paticipation.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Total qualification will be the result of summing exam quialifactions, programmed coursewok and class attendance and participation. In order to pass the subject, a minimum qualification of 5/10 required in each part (theory and practice).

In case of failure to obtain a minimun qualification for pass, student will have to take a final exam covering all the matter (both theory and practice) in a later examination sitting period. No reports will be accetped after the programmed for cursewok delivery.

Educational Activities

Format (presential/Online)

Teaching Methodology

2/3 Theoretical master class sessions per week

Presential up to 50% one week and face-to-face another week, the face-to-face session can be 1/3 of the total group, the rest are attended online.

Sessions for the whole group of 1 hour each in which the material previously delivered will be explained and doubts will be resolved. The attendance will be the one that the infrastructure and sanitary conditions allow.

Online exhibition classes: in these classes, students will receive information and explanations about a material previously provided by the teacher. Doubts will be solved, examples will be given and solutions will be indicated to situations caused by the material worked on. These classes will be given to the whole group of students, preferably in online format.

1 session of practical, applied and exercise classes per week

Up to 50% attendance one week and online the other week, some are attended in person and the rest online in alternate weeks.

Sessions up to the middle of the group of 1 hour each in which the knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes and in the individual work done by the students will be applied. The attendance will be the one that the infrastructure and sanitary conditions allow.

Classes for small groups: in these classes practical activities will be carried out in which the knowledge acquired in the expository classes and in the individual work of the student will be applied. These classes will be given preferably in small groups of students who will take turns. If there are any students at risk who are unable to attend the classes in person, what is taught in them will be transmitted to them during tutorial hours and in online format.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
