4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Part of the subject is face to face and other part is virtual. The subject has 3 ETCS, 12 hours assigned to face-to-face classes and 18 hours assigned to virtual classes. Master classes will be coordinated with virtual activities that will have their own evaluation through practical exercises. I t will be discussed, with the students, and within the scope of the discipline that develops the subject, the different existing job opportunities within their future specialization.

Some practical classes will be carried out in the electronics laboratory. Besides, the students will learn how to manage a SCADA software. These activities will allow that the students show their assimilation level doing several exercises and works, among them, a global one that will gather the majority of the subject concepts.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Detailed Information

A final exam, works and several practical exercises will be done. It will be necessary to overcome each part independently. With this, the collaborative and team work that the students develop will be evaluated, weighing it positively, and with the corresponding percentage within the activity / type of evaluation (work, practice, exam ) . Attendance and participation will be taken into account.

S1           5 %         Attendance.

S2           45 %      Theoretical and practical exam.

S3           45 %      Works and practical exercises.

S4           5 %         Participation.

The practice assesses the CB7, CB8, CG2MSEGI, CG4MSEGI and E9MSEGI competencies. The positive evaluation of the student will imply that he/she has reached the learning outcomes RB7, RB7b, RB7c, RB8, RE09MSE, RG2mSE, RG4mSE, RT3 and RT4 .

UNIQUE TEST

In compliance with article 13 of the Regulation of Academic Regime and Student Assessment of the University of Jaén, any student who justifiably (according to the assumptions contained in the aforementioned article) cannot participate in the regulated and complementary activities of a face-to-face nature proposed in the subject, may request the teaching staff to change the evaluation procedure to a single test. This request, together with the corresponding justification, must be made at least one week before the beginning of the examination period. In this case, there will be a theoretical-practical exam that will evaluate S2 (concepts of the subject) and S4 (laboratory practices)

A compulsory theoretic-practical exam or a design will be done in exceptional cases (non in person class).  A compulsory theoretic-practical exam or a design will be done in exceptional cases (non in person class) reaching the CB7, CB8, CG2MSEGI, CG4MSEGI y E9MSEGI competencies. The positive evaluation of the student will imply that he/she has reached the learning outcomes RB7, RB7b, RB7c, RB8, RE09MSE, RG2mSE, RG4mSE, RT3 and RT4 .

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1.Teaching methodology and training activities.

If the number of students is greater than the limited capacity in the laboratory (all teaching would be taught in a laboratory) the methodology and activities would be developed as follows:

Training Activities

Format (classroom/online)*

Teaching methodology description

3 Practical sessions in laboratory

In person at 100%

Development of 3 practical sessions, lasting two hours each, in laboratorios applying rotation in small groups. Retransmission of practical clases to the rest of the group if the technical means allow it.

3 Theoretical sessions

In person at 100%

3 sessions of participatory master classes, of two hours each, held in the laboratory and broadcasting by videoconference to the rest of the group of the technical means allow it. Periodic rotation of students.

External professor

In person at 100%/ non in person

For the external profesor, if there was a movement restriction, a video conferencie would be held. If there was no problem, periodic rotation of students would be carried out.
