3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The content of the subject is structured in the following chapters, which include theoretical concepts as well as practical relationships and case studies:

Chapter 1. IT Professional Profiles

Chapter 2. IT frameworks and standards. Overview.

Chapter 3. Corporate governance of IT.

Nowadays, the impact of technology on the success of a company or organization is increasing. For this reason, an IT corporate governance that allows evaluating, designing and monitoring the strategic decisions of the corporation together is essential. This chapter will work on the tools that an organization has at its disposal in matters of corporate governance. Specifically, the content of this chapter includes, among others, ISO38500, COBIT and business architecture.

Chapter 4. Management of an IT department.

Due to increased technology needs, the demands on an organization's IT department are also higher. It is important to have tools that allow the management of the services provided by an IT department. This chapter is based on ITIL and ISO 20000.

Chapter 5. Certification processes.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In accordance with the provisions of art. 13 of the Regulation of Academic Regime and Evaluation of the students of the University of Jaén, the evaluation of the subject will be global.

According to article 18 of said regulation, a call will be considered exhausted when the assessment tests in which the student participates represent more than 30% of the grade for the course.

For the evaluation of attendance the student will have to complete 80% of all the activities of the subject, obtaining in total a grade higher than 5 points computing the theoretical, practical evaluation and virtualized monitoring of the subject. The student must deliver the exercises that are scheduled throughout its development. At the end of the teaching period, the student will make a final defense of the work.

The realization of the practices of the subject is compulsory. A student will be considered to have completed the practices if she completes the evaluation of the practices and also performs the scheduled deliveries of all the exercises proposed in the practice sessions. To carry out the practices there will be some individual exercises and others for groups.

With the evaluation of the practices of the subject the student will demonstrate the acquisition of the learning results 1.1R, 1.2R, 1.3R and 1.4R.

The evaluation on theoretical assumptions of the subject will have an individual character and will require the delivery of the exercises that are scheduled throughout the course of the course.

With the evaluation of the theoretical concepts of the subject and the completion of assignments, the student will demonstrate the acquisition of learning results 1.1R, 1.2R, 1.3R and 1.4R.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

The activities that cannot be carried out face-to-face will be carried out considering a rotational assistance, and using videoconference systems. Moreover, the capacity in the available infrastructures will be taking into account.

Recording by any means of synchronous face-to-face or non-face-to-face activities is expressly prohibited.

The Center can change the attendance percentage depending on the number of students and the capacity of the classroom / laboratory according to the sanitary measures. In the case of less than 100% attendance, there will be a periodic rotation of students as determined by the Center.

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

Activities that cannot be carried out face-to-face will be carried out through synchronous and / or asynchronous activities using the virtual teaching platform.

Recording by the students of synchronous face-to-face or non-face-to-face activities is expressly prohibited.

The evaluation system and instruments will be the same as the face-to-face modality, changing the face-to-face tests by similar tests developed using the online teaching platform.

 

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
