Practice 5: Harmonics produced by a speed variator.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The theoretical contents of this course will be taught following the next methodology:

- The chapter index will be analyzed, the introduction and objectives will be read and the theoretical content of the chapter will be developed.

- Bibliography will be recommended

- The audiovisual media will be used for the development of the theoretical session.

- At the end of the chapter, a summary will be made and various questions will be debated so that the students can express their opinions.

The practical contents of the subject will follow the following methodology:

-The practices to be developed and their objective will be analyzed

-The software or means chosen to carry out the practices will be analyzed

-A report, individual or group, of the practice object of the study will be carried out.

Specialized tutoring: during the course, students will be attended in order to discuss the development of their studies, helping them to overcome learning difficulties.

The Virtual Teaching Platform ILIAS will be used to monitor the Subject.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and active participation in class, either in person or on the virtual teaching platform or virtual platforms, will be evaluated by the faculty and can be evaluated with 20% of the final grade.
The theoretical exam will consist of a test in which theoretical knowledge and problems and projects will be evaluated and will account for 40% of the final grade.
The performance of individual or group work will be evaluated with 40% of the final grade.
The evaluation system will be governed by taking into account the following competences acquired in the subject: CB2R, CB3R, CB4R, CB5R, CEL2, CEL6, CT2, CT4

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

According to the determination of the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Jaén for the course of Efficiency and energy saving, the theoretical classes in large groups (A1) will be 100% presencial in the classroom and assigned time schedule. As for the small group classes (A2 - practicals), according to the guidelines of the Center, they will also be 100% presencial in the laboratory and assigned time schedules.

The evaluation system and weights will be the same as in the totally presencial scenario determined in this course guide.

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

1- TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES

The theoretical classes in large groups (A1) will be online by videoconference in the assigned time schedule. Regarding the classes in small group (A2 - practical), they will be conducted online using videos about practices and will be complemented with directed activities for each of the practices at the assigned times.

2- EVALUATION SYSTEM

All exams will be conducted online. The weights must be modified to give more value to the student's work and will be distributed as follows:

  • Theoretical exam: 30%.
  • Individual activities, practice memories, group work: 60%
  • Attendance and participation in class: 10%.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above.
