4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theoretical lectures will be focus on concepts description and explanation including some practical examples that will be solved on the blackboard. Media resources will be used as supporting tools. The students will present their group works.

Practical lectures will be focus on the resolution of exercises using Excel as a tool.

 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

We will follow a continuous evaluation system with several theoretical tests (20%) and practical exams (70%). Theoretical concepts will be assessed with a type test (true or false questions). Practical exam will consist on the resolution of some exercises. Finally, the global assessment wil also include a group work to be presented in class (10%).

To pass the course, a minimum of 3 points (over 10 points) is necessary in, at least, 80% of the conducted tests and exams.

The student that takes part in one of the continuous evaluations tests will appear as "PRESENTADO" ("TAKEN") in the evaluation of the course.

In extraordinary exams, the evaluation systema will be: group work (10%), theoretical test (20%) and practica exam (70%).To pass the course, a minimum of 3 points (over 10 points) is necessary in the theoretical test and in each of the exercises of the practical exam.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Teaching methodology

There will be face-to-face classes for the 100% of the student body if the capacity of the lecture rooms allows for it. If it is not possible, the face-to-face classes will be only for a group of students and the rest of them will follow the class online. The group of face-to face and online students will rotate every week. The number of students by group will be determined by the Law and Social Ciences Faculty.

Assessment Methodology

Without changes with respect to the normal scenario.

The exams and tests will be online in case it was not possible to do it face-to-face.

Electronic/Digital Resources

Digital resources (electronic, computer, wireless, etc.) will be necessary for the teaching activities and exams in case it couldn't be developed face-to-face. In this case, Google Meet, ILIAS, email and Google Suite tools, between others, could be employed.

8. VIRTUAL TEACHING SCENARIO

There will online classes for the 100% of the student body. The classes will be broadcasted in the official timetable.

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE (on line exams)

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
