3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Chapter 1.-Corporate investment and financing.

Chapter 2.-Cost of capital.

Chapter 3.-Investment project analysis and decision making under certainty.

Chapter 4.-Valuation of alternative investment projects (incremental analysis). Tax effect.

Chapter 5.-Economic feasibility and financial feasibility.

Chapter 6.-Financing sources of the company: External financing.

Chapter 7.-Financing sources of the company: Internal financing.

Chapter 8.-Investment projects analysis and decision making under risk conditions.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theoretical lectures will be focus on concepts description and explanation including some practical examples that will be solved on the blackboard. Media resources will be used as supporting tools.

Practical lectures will be focus on the resolution of exercices using Excel program as a tool.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The final grade will depend on continuous assessment, both theoretical and practical part of the course.

Theoretical concepts will be assessed with type tests (true or false questions) (R8).

Practical part will consist on the resolution of some exercises using Excel program (R8, R10).

A minimum of 3 points out of 10 will be required in at least 80% of the tests and exercises taken during the course.

 

Extraordinary II: Theoretical-practical exam, maintaining the weightings and criteria defined previously.

7. VIRTUAL / CLASSROOM TEACHING SCENARIO

Teaching methodology: If the classroom capacity is enough for all the students in the group, there will be 100% face-to-face lectures.

 

If the capacity of the classroom is not enough, the face-to-face lectures will be partial, with some of the students attending the lecture. The rest will be able to follow the lecture online. The face-to-face group will rotate every week.

 

Evaluation system: No changes from the original syllabus.

 

Tests and exercises will be taken online if it is not possible to take them at the university.

 

Electronic resources to be used: Telematic resources will be needed for teaching and evaluation activities that cannot be carried out at the university.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
