- Training activity: Lectures (3.0 ECTS): Presentation by thefaculty of the contents of the teaching units of the coursepromoting discussion and active participation of students. It willuse new technologies to promote student access to the virtualplatform where educational materials are available (as summaries ofthe lectures). This activity will provide the skills related tocompetencies 1, 2 and 4.

- Training activity: Laboratory Practices (2.7 ECTS). Work willproceed in small groups in the Microbiology laboratory practices.The teacher will explain the fundamentals and procedure of eachpractice. Students, with the support of a laboratory portfolio withthe main experimental procedures, will achieve results that willhave to be analyzed and discussed. This activity will develop theskills competence number 3, the development of job skills in alaboratory of Microbiology and interpretation of the results ofmicrobiological analysis. - Training activity: Group tutorials (0.3ECTS) There will be specialized tutorials in order to guidestudents in monitoring tutored. This will also facilitate theacquisition of teamwork skills, knowledge and ability to consultspecialized literature sources, and synthesize them. 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

A system of assessments will be used where the final result is given by the sum of the scores obtained in the previous sections. It is mandatory to have attended the laboratory exercises. The term paper will evaluate the competences CB3, CB4, CB5 yCE2. The oral presentation will allow us to evaluate thecompetences CB3, CB4 y CE2. Finally, competences CB5 y CT24 will beassesed through continuous evaluation, mainly during the laboratory exercises.

II. System of assessment

There will be a continuous assessment throughout the course through delivery of activities, both theoretical and practical, by students through email or the ILIAS Virtual Teaching Platform at the University of Jaén, which will account for 80% of the final grade. There will also be a synchronous final test online through the ILIAS Platform or the Google Forms application, depending on availability, with the support of Google Meets, on the date established by the Faculty of Experimental Sciences for each of the official calls, which will represent 20% of the final grade.

III. Resources.

The online resources provided by the University of Jaén (ILIAS Virtual Teaching Platform, Videoconference through GoogleMeet, other applications in the Google environment: Docs, Slides, Calendar, Drive) will be used in order to encourage student participation, as well as electronic resources available in the library of the University of Jaén or freely available on the internet.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Likewise, in order to provide the exam with evidential content for revisions or claims, in accordance with current regulation frameworks, the exam will be recorded and stored.

Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
