4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theory: the professor will present main concepts, and there will be discussions and presentations related to the student's assingments. During the videoconference classes, a participation tool (chat or forum) will be used, as well as test-type tests and questions will be introduced at the end of each topic to encourage participation and at the same time serve as a record for continuous evaluation.

Practice: exercises and problems under the supervision of the professor. In the field, real cases will be showed and discussed, and the students will present a report.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Participation in the class: There will be a control of attendance to theoretical and practical classes, especially strict in the latter. In addition, the answers provided by the students to the questions raised in the development of the classes will be noted. In addition, the participation of students in class will be accounted for through their interventions (comments, questions, answers to questions from the teacher ...), which will be recorded in the chat or forum that is established.

Theory: Written exam with questions and graphics to be discussed. The test-type tests carried out during the course will be evaluated, normally at the end of each topic or block.Course activities will also included in the evaluation. (Competences: CB3, CB4, CB5, CT4, CT-23 CT-24 and CE7)

Practice: the attendance control will be very rigorous. The laboratory sessions will be evaluated by monitoring the activities carried out and the delivery of exercises. Field practices will be evaluated by attendance, participation and delivery of the report / questionnaire for each trip. In the case of non-attendance, due to the participation, preparation and delivery of the directed activities as alternatives to the field trips. Along with the final theoretical exam, there will be problems that must be solved by applying the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the corresponding sessions. (Competences CB3, CT24, CE7 and CE38).

The final evaluation of the subject will be the result of the weighted average between the aspects considered in the Evaluation System (section 6). However, if the lack of attendance to practices was equal to or greater than 5% or if the final exam score was less than 4, no weighted average will be made, considering that the students have not acquired the necessary skills and, therefore, it has no ability to overcome matter.
