Block I: ICT at the service of the Society. Topic 1: The impact of ICT in our society. New literacies Technological development and sociocultural inequalities: Accessibility and social inclusion. Block II: ICT Resources in Social Education Topic 2: Mass Media and Education. Topic 3: Technological Resources and Networks. Multimedia and Education Topic 4: Technological resources and inclusion Topic 5: Design and development of socio-educational programs using mass media and communication networks
The subject will be based on an active and participative
methodology that will promote self-learning and collaborative work
between students.
The work methodology will vary depending on the specific
blocks developed at each moment.
Theoretical classes will be held in a large group in which
explanations and expositions of basic theoretical contents will be
developed by the teacher. These theoretical expositions will be
completed with debates, exposition of experts, among others.
On the other hand theoretical-practical activities will be
carried out through projects.
Also, practical classes will be developed in which more
specific activities as creation of resources will be carried on.
Group and collaborative work will be encouraged at all times
to achieve practical skills.
We will start from the need for collaboration among students
for the development of many of the practical activities. We
understand the need for cooperative work in their future work so
that these skills will be promoted throughout the development of
the subject.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
In the evaluation of the subject three fundamental sections will
be taken into account:
1.- Commitment and Participation (10%): Given the strong
participatory nature that is intended with this subject the
participation and commitment of the student will be valued both
with the small work groups, as with the entire class group. For the
achievement of this 10%, participation in 80% will be essential
of practical classes.
2.- Evaluation of Theoretical Contents (60%): the theoretical
contents of the subject will be evaluated from two instruments:
a) 20% tests and individual activities that will be carried
out at the end of certain contents
b) 40% final individual objective test. It will be done in
person or virtual depending on the needs.
3.- Preparation of materials and ICT projects (30%):
Programming and development of projects will be carried out
ICT (individual or group) that must be delivered and exposed
to the entire class group. To obtain a positive evaluation in the
subject, both the theoretical contents and the elaboration of
materials and projects (at least 50% of each part).
