4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Individual tutoring. Completion of practical exercises. Bibliographic search. Laboratory classes. Theoretical reviews. Oral exposition. Book summaries.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The student's final grade will result from adding the grades obtained in the 3 exams (25%, 20% and 25% of the final grade, respectively) and the evaluation obtained in scheduled  practical activities (30%).

The exams may  contain multiple choice questions, practical exercises, and short essay questions. The student must have passed the theoretical part to add the practice grade.

In extraordinary exam calls or when the student has not been able to complete the scheduled activities for justified reasons, he/she will be able to take an exam that will include questions from theory and scheduled practical activities. A maximum of 10 points could be obtained in these extraordinary exam calls.

  2.- ASSESSMENT

Ordinary call

1.- Continuous assessment exams (25%, 20% and 25% of the final grade, respectively) will take place preferably in the classroom, depending on the sanitary conditions (otherwise online). 

2.- Attendance to the practical activities conducted in the classroom/laboratory (5%). 

3.- Assessment of the practical activities conducted both online and in the classroom (25%). 

Extraordinary call

One final exam (70%) conducted preferably in  the classroom in possible according to the sanitary conditions (otherwise online).

The practical activites will be assessed as described above. 

3. RESOURCES 

Online teaching (theory, practical sessions and tutoring) will be developed via google meet. ILIAS resources (material, chats, forum, news, exams, etc) and contact via e-mail  will also be used.

The bibliography will be available using the resources available in the library of the UJA.

Purpose: In accordance with the Universities Law and other national and regional regulations in force, carrying out exams and assessment tests corresponding to the courses students are registered in. In order to avoid frauds while sitting the exam, the exam will be answered using a videoconference system, being able the academic staff of the University of Jaén to compare and contrast the image of the person who is answering the exam with the student's photographic files. Legitimacy: compliance with legal obligations (Universities Law) and other national and regional regulations currently in force.

Addressees: service providers who are the owners of the platforms where the exams are carried out and with whom the University of Jaén has signed the corresponding data access contracts.

Storage periods: those established in current in force regulations. In the specific case of exam videoconference recordings, not before the examination records and transcripts are closed or the exam can still be reviewed or challenged.

Rights: you can exercise your right of access, amendment, cancellation, opposition, suppression, limitation and portability by sending a letter to the postal or electronic address indicated above. In the event that you consider that your rights have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection www.ctpdandalucia.es
